Hope you feel better soon, sure the vino will help!.....Sounds like a nice day tomorrow, how old is your niece? Lots of cuddles from her fave Aunty I bet. My daughter goes nuts when my sister comes to visit.
Thankyou vino slowly working, shes just turned 1 and a bundle of energy, think my sis is glad as free babysitting and she can have a break. Couple hrs on british rail first too read & knit
You've done well with the exercise, remember everthing in moderation & allow yourself an occassional treat.
Eh xx0 -
Started the diet challenge on Monday with a weigh in :eek::eek: So promptly went swimming that lunchtime, walking Tues, and back to pool tomorrow.....trying to eat sensibly without going daft...:p How's everyone else doing
Well Monday and Tuesday went well, yesterday was so-so (not exactly a diet day but not a complete write off) and today went ok until I went out tonight and had an aero and 2 glasses of cider:o
Oh well, tomorrow is another day....
Play tonight was very funny and we all enjoyed it - good to get out with work colleagues and friends and not talk about work!
Bed beckons, last day tomorrow.... only down side is that I have to wear a suit, even in this weather:mad:0 -
Weigh day yesterday - 1kg gained over last 4 weeks and half an inch lost from chest last week and all other measurements stayed the same.
Hmm - must the lack of exercise that caused this? Anyway I'm off out for a run in a little bit to see how I get on after the break then its a trip to the supermarket and town before coming back to see if I can get some free insulation installed. This afternoon will take the dog on a nice long walk which will leave him pretty puffed out and hot and also some cleaning to fab the house up some whatfinal unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -
Well I did it and went out for a 4 mile run, luckily before it warms up too much for running. Was very warm though and I now look bright pink!
Went well which was a nice surprise, and felt good to burn off some kcals!

Good morning ladies
I went to Asda last night and bought a few emergency items to tide me over until I can get back into my size 16's.
White trousers, denim blue cropped trousers and two loose multicoloured tops. I'm really not sure about the tops because they are an empire line style i.e. seam under the bust and then loose flowing. The style draws attention to my rather generous boobs and make me feel a bit self conscious so I might take them back.
If I could lose just half a stone fairly pronto it would make a big difference. So it's time to really try harder. I've not had any bread all week but I have struggled a bit with the heat.
I need to make sure I carry low cal drinks or chilled water with me, because when I've had to succumb to drinks whilst I've been out and about - i.e. at the nursing home or in cafes with OH they have always been the full sugar variety.
I think it's the little things like drinks, snacks etc that can easily add up and sabotage my good intentions.
I've had a good look at the Alexander Technique that Skymist has posted and it is very similar to one of my physic stretches, but held for about 15 minutes.
I'm definitely going to have a go at this later, my back muscles do feel very tight this morning.
I think you could do this with some nice relaxing music and just take it as time out to de-stress and/or medidate. Thanks again for that link. I shall be looking at some of the other exercises later too.
Don't forget ladies Fab Friday.
Today it's a bit of a roll my sleeves up and get cleaning, ironing and gardening day so I'm not actually "dolling up" just yet. :rotfl:
I shall need to do some fabbing later, defuzzing, eyebrow tidy and face mask are on the agenda for today. And now that it's sandal time paint my toenails a pretty colour.
Have a great day.0 -
I fabbed up for Friday to go to the supermarket in my lovely summer long maxi skirt which is nice and cool to wear along with a white t-shirt and flat birkinstocks.
Back home now to sort some of the spare room out then do some boring cleaning to fab the house up today and tomorrow. Then I will paint my toenails tonight as they need doing to wear my sandals.
Fabness cleaning is bedroom and LR and spare room then tomorrow kitchen and bathroom sweeping and mopping after a trot up to town if I can be bothered to gofinal unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -
Hi all,
!!!!!! - don't worry about the cossie, you tend to find people are worrying too much about their own lumps and bumps to notice anyone else's :rotfl:just enjoy your time away!
Bitsy - new tops sound great, I wouldn't worry about only having a few to start with, by the time you get the funds for some more then might have seen other ones you like or need the next size down and then will be grateful you didn't go nuts and buy loads at once
Adelight - have my fingers crossed for you today, hope you can relax a bit afterwards and enjoy your weekend back home - appreciate parts are going to be a bit sad but at least you get to see family etc x
EH - sorry about the back hun, have you been to the drs about it? (apologies if you've said already, we do have a lot with back probs at the moment and I get muddled easily) Enjoy your day off x
LL - new outfits sound nice, if you've got it flaunt it :rotfl:
Sparkles - well done on getting back to the exercise, your outfit definately sounds fab as well
ww - glad the play was fun, enjoy your last day and then can look forward to the summer - lol I need to get into teaching :rotfl:
Speaking of which, was reading a thread on another board, there were two teaching assistants and someone who was training to be a secondary school teacher on there -and the spelling/grammar was horrendous! From the trainee teacher especially, was very tempted to post that I hoped she wasn't wanting to teach English but managed to restrain. Is it any wonder that so many kids today can't spell/write correctly when half the people teaching them can't even manage it? (sorry ww, your spelling always looks great :rotfl:)
Anyway, filming last night went ok, am worried it might be a little shaky in parts - did take the tripod but ended up sat on the floor for half of while they were doing mat work! Still, she only wants a couple of films a few minutes long each so surely I must have a few minutes of good footage in there somewhereThink am supposed to be helping OH film a band tonight so hopefully will be fun. Day has brightened up here, after being grey and drizzly this morning, so fingers crossed might have a nice weekend after all.

Lizzie - glad the pony thing seems to be going ok, though find it a little strange the owner would be so nervous with it - has she not had it long herself or does someone else normally look after it? The only thing I would say with it - and may be preaching to the choir here so apologise if so - from riding quite a bit when I was younger, is that even if you do feel a bit nervous then don't let it show as the horse can take advantage and then it can be harder to establish that you're 'the boss' again. Am sure it's a lovely pony but I think it's the same for most animals.
Not having a good day my positivity seems to have gone awol.Beginning to think there may be more to the pony owner's DD not being interested in it. Went yesterday, managed to catch pony ok, were warned may pull head up but everything went ok. Groomed and stroked and talked, tried to be firm but kind. Then we had a go at putting bridle on no luck at all, did manage to get bit in mouth once but he just dropped it out again. DD was upset but I though we were doing more harm than good so said we had to leave it and go. Had been asked to stable pony as due to lack of riding, is getting fat. Three times DD tried but pony just pulled away and DD hurt her hand on the rope. TBH I was scared by now so we just took off headcollar, secured field etc and went. DD was very upset, but still wants to continue. I'm not so sure.
DD is a novice rider (about 20 mths experience), she has helped at stables a few times but what we really needed was a bit of experience with a pony/horse under supervision preferably with a calm well behaved animal in exchange for a ride on said animal. After last night am thinking this is not it. After pony had bolted I remember something being said about pony pulling out of owners DD's hands but though she just meant pulling head up am now wondering if this is why interest has been lost because difficult to bridle and bolting. I did explain that I have very limited knowledge, and am not very confident around horses (made all the worse due to my health atm), and DD needed guidance. We did try to rope in an experienced aquaintance to help but they are too busy with their own horses atm. Don't get me wrong pony doesn't bite, and does come to you easily when loose, follows you about etc. so not a real nasty pony. I think been allowed to get away with things due to owner's nervousness and now needs a confident, experienced person to take in hand. I don't think that's us.Especially as I'm not willing to knock myself up further doing it.:( Am really fed up about it, thought we'd dropped lucky and were going to be able to increase my confidence and DD's experience. Haven't decided 100% what to do yet but in the end our safety is my main priority. Am going to have a chat with owner over weekend but am thinking unless she can offer a bit more that we may have to say it's an unsuitable situation. Sorry about long moan but tried to talk to H about it all and he just isn't interested, once more feel like he just cba unless it's to do with politics.:mad: Left me last night trying to get tv packed away for repair despite being asked to help, just kept huffing and ended up doing most of it myself.:mad:. He knows I'm struggling but am left to get on with it. walk dogs etc if they didn' suffer for it I would just sit and do nothing.
Suffice to say back and shoulder aren't v. good today.:(:(
Haven't listened to confidence cd, spent the day trying to rest as best I can so no fabbing, definately unfab. Need to get on with last assignment for course as well and feel very unmotivated.
Anyway enough wallowing. Be back soon xFrump to Fab - Solstice Sizzler

Aww Lizzie, hope DD isn't too upset. It does sound like the pony has perhaps been allowed it's own way for a while so would need a bit of a firm hand - is it quite a young horse? did the owner say whether it has always had problems with being bridled? If it's quite young then could be an issue with them not training it properly in the first place, or if it's just been allowed to laze around in the field for a while then could have just got into bad habits lately - which technically should be easier to break them of. What's the set-up with where they are now, is it just grazing and a stall or a proper stable? If it's the latter might be worth asking some of the staff there if they would be willing to give you a bit of a hand with him, people working in places like that usually do cause they love horses so probably won't mind and might even be used to bringing him in and out etc as a lot of owners ask the staff to do it on occasion if they can't make it.
Now, second part - you may think I'm being harsh but you need to get your OH told that you need some help at the moment. He has the option of giving you a bit of a hand now or waiting until your back/shoulder completely goes and then he can do everything  If he huffs and puffs while he's doing something then just ignore it, it's classic behaviour to try and get out of doing it - don't let him get away with it (and I know OH can be guilty of this as well, I used to give in but now I just don't rise to it and eventually he just shut up and got on with it!)
Go do something for you - paint your nails, have a bath, listen to your cd, whatever - whatever it takes to give you a little boost, if you feel guilty then just think that you deserve it today! (sorry, am in bossy mode today :rotfl:) Take care hun x0 -
Well I have moved on so much since this time last year. Today I put my shorts on in public and faced total strangers and then took Mr dog out for over an hour in shorts and t-shirt.
Now this might not sound like much, for me this is a real step forward. No hiding away in layers after all the hard work thats gone on.
