    Hi all,

Sky - thanks for the link, will have to give that a try :)

Lizzie - firm but kind is just what I was trying to go round the houses to say :rotfl:Give her lots of reasurrance but make sure it's a 'this will happen' event rather then a 'if you feel like it today' kind of thing :) Can you maybe get shopping delivered or something, can't be helping your back/shoulder - I know mine are usually killing after lugging the shopping home and they were generally ok to begin with!

WW - go you for getting some things organised - I find that so often with people I know as well, people are happy to 'go along' to things, they would just rather sit at home then actually make the effort to sort something themselves so am sure it was appreciated.

evilsquid - I was halfway through typing a reply when I saw your second post and it was saying exactly what you've said :) Accept the first job, if they want you to start straight away then make sure they are aware you have an 'appointment' next Thursday that you can't rearrange and then see how the second one pans out. If you get offered the better one then can leave the first one then but you don't want to end up with nothing. Have been in the situation and tbh while some people might cry that 'it's not very fair on the first company' at the end of the day you can be sure that if it was the other way round then they would be looking out for themselves first and you need to do the same thing. Oh and well done on landing the job - in the market at the moment that's no mean feat :T

Anyway, another lovely day while I'm stuck at work :rotfl:Am doing the fitness class photos and filming tonight and since it's at 6.30 and fairly near where I work there's not much point in me going home, so since I have over an hour to kill may try and find somewhere nice nearby to enjoy the sunshine and maybe get some piccies. Had a bit of a stress with OH last night, they have been using my camera quite a bit for their filming (does both photo and film) which I don't really mind but they are filming today and didn't really appreciate having the guilt trip laid on that they would be 'a camera down' etc cause I was taking it to work in the morning  Was hoping OH might come along anyway to help me with the filming side but since asked several times and never got a straight answer have just thought 'stuff it, will do it myself as usual'. Sorry, mini rant there :o
Hope everyone else is having a good day x

    Good afternoon everyone!

Sending positive vibes to those in distress with poorly bits and bobs, heres hoping things get better soon.

Word of warning, have been pottering in the garden this afternoon and have burnt my chestickles! Before you start wondering, just the top part of my chest not the droopy things a bit lower donw, so please be careful, remember that sun cream!!:p

Plodding along as usual, have just got a prescription through to try my little one on melatonin for a couple of weeks to see how he goes, hopefully a bit of undisturbed sleep will do this household a bit of good :T:T:T

Have been putting a bit of the garnier moisturising tan lotion on, so my white bits aren`t as white, seems to have perked me up having a bit of a glow to my skin so thats good.

Thats all my news, going on a brak for a week over the jubillee whilst the kids are off, my body doesnt look great in my cossy (I am going to a Haven park) but I have vowed that I will have fun. and do absolutely everything in my power to be in a bikini if we go again next year, monsterous thighs staring back at you in the mirror has given me a kick in the right direction!

Have a great, peaceful day everyone :)

    Hi Everyone

Don't cha just luurrve the weather, my bones and joints do.:D Apart from a mild dull ache in my back and a slight stiffness in my neck I'm pain free.......The moral of this story is I should just bu**er off abroad some nice and warm each winter. :rotfl: : Much as I love England the cold and damp don't suit me. I always found I was pain free when we stayed in our holiday apartment in Spain.

The only problem is ....................I can't fit into any of my summer clothes:eek: I know I know - it's my own stupid fault. I am gong to have to nip to ASDA tonight and buy a few cheap bits. I really don't want to spend any money but I have hardly anything to wear. I was adamant I wasn't going to be size 18 again and I chucked the whole lot out with gay abandon. Now here I am - with a wardrobe full of 14/16's summer clothes that I can't squeeze into.

I've been to see OH and am now waiting in because I am expecting a parcel so I have just come indoors to escape the heat and will go outside again and do a bit of pottering around the garden when it's cooler.

Skymist - thanks for the link. I know several people who have had very good success with the Alexander Technique - will definitely give it a go.

Evilsquid well done on making a decision. I think it's an excellent plan. PP is right. You need to do what is right for you and yes even if you do decide to quit job 1 in favour of job 2 should they offer it you, don't feel guilty about letting Employer 1 down. It's a dog eat dog world sometimes and you have to think of yourself and your own future.

As pp says employers don't think twice about getting rid of people when it suits them. I'm assuming there will be some sort of probationary period anyway so you should be able to leave quite easily with no hard feelings.

PP - bit cheeky that about your camera. No wonder you feel aggrieved. Don't feel guilty - you are trying to build up a business. You need your equipment when you need it and you need to know that it is always in good working order.

Cameras are an expensive piece of kit and, although I'm sure they wouldn't damage it on purpose, accidents do happen. Even if the insurance company coughed up quite quickly you could be without a camera for a while and lose valuable chances. As a fledgling enterprise you daren't risk that.

I have a pile of ironing to do but it's too hot now, so am going to go out into the garden and potter about in the shade. My garden is so overgrown and choked with weeds, nothing is planted yet and I haven't even pressed the greenhouse into service. Never mind it will get done by and by.

Have sorted out the lounge, just waiting for the artwork to be delivered. It looks better already and I think it will look rather nice considering that I will have spent less that £50. I've bought some nice plants, Sainsbugs. £3 each, switched round the bric-a-brac and put out the new throws and cushions.

Just a few tweaks has made such a difference - which is the same with us isn't it.

A few tweaks here and there is all it takes to set us on the road to fabdom.:rotfl:

posts crossed !!!!!! - have a lovely break and don't worry about how you look in a cossie - just have fun.

Don't fret about your thighs - that's what sarongs are for. :rotfl:

I swear by sarongs and am only seen in bikini bottoms whilst lying down:eek:

Off to the local theatre tonight with a frazzled band of fellow teachers - should be good fun, its supposed to be a comedy after all. After an afternoon of bunsen burner practicals and very excitable yr 9s in the heat I deserve it!

Just waiting for it to cool down a bit before I take the dog out then its a quick shower, iron something summery to wear and out.

One more day until the weekend - hurrah!:j:j:j

    Hello ladies :D

Hope you are enjoying this fantastic weather :j

Have really been making an effort since I went clothes shopping last week. I have come to conclusion that with my body shape v necked t shirts are best suited to me and whilst they can be boring as hell my saviour is the humble accessory. So I purchased a couple of scarves, some costume jewellery and so fabulously bright v necked t shirts. So am wearing a lovely canary yellow top and whilst it's not to everyone's taste I painted my nails the same colour. Added a salmon coloured pink cheapie bead necklace and some cream metal bangles and voila I might not look a supermodel but I sure as heck feel a darn sight better. If only I now had the funds to buy more :o:rotfl:
    Still it's a start and Rome wasn't built in a day ;)

Making effort with mindful eating which I am pleased about. Still hard to break habits but need to push through these emotional reasons.

Podperson.....your camera is yours and it's not a hobby you're trying to build but a business. OH has no right to run a guilt trip about being a camera short.....if that's the case he will have to go and buy one rather than take use of yours for granted.

!!!!!! enjoy your break, don't care about other people, after all it's not likely that you'll see them again ;) hope the melatonin works x

Evilsquid glad you made a decision re job hope it all works out x

    Hugs for everyone else :)

well done evilquid i'm glad you're taking the job, tbh it's what i'd have done. don't go into job 1 thinking it's temporary and not what you want though, make the most of it and don't look for reasons why you don't like it, look for reasons why you do! a 30 minute commute is quite cushy imo, just find something to do for 1-2 hours. personal favourites include: breakfast, makeup, emails, studying, iplayer :o

    pp don't feel guilty, you're no.1!

dodgy hugs to all the people feeling off right now :grouphug: it will get better, if we can't improve during this thread then lets get our s attitudes and plans ready for the next.

has anyone spoken to willow lately? how is she?

thanks for all the positive vibes everyone, the exams are going okay so far and i just have one left tomorrow. it's the most  one as it's important and i'm not 100% confident about the work but eh oh well. sitting in the exam hall feels positively relaxing compared to the last week/month/year :D i'm going to have a bath then call home.
i'm going home this weekend to sort more of nan's stuff and see family. i shall do a bit of supermarket clothes shopping with mum as she needs stuff for her amazing holiday (mum, dad & sis are going on a fancy 2 week cruise round scandinavia, russia, europe for £1700 for all of them!) and i need some cheap bits to start off my work wardrobe. i also need to sort out my bleeding hair before i start work. not that i have a start date yet....
