    Good Morning Everyone

Struggled to get up this is morning - slept a straight 8 hours - that's got to do some good:)

Nice day yesterday, visited OH but didn't go out. Wheelchair services have adapted his chair by putting different wheels on and a special headrest. It now weighs a ton - there is no way I can push it very far so I couldn't take him out. Still waiting for the power pack......

So we sat in the home's gardens and watched the staff and some of the more able residents do some planting. Going to do the same this morning.

In the afternoon sat out in my garden and sunned myself - my neighbour came round so we had a lovely time just chatting and giggling. Tan is coming along nicely:D.

In the evening went to DS1's house for a BBQ - it was nice to be waited on for a change. Only on had one burger bun, so not too many carbs there.

I met quite of few of his friends I had not seen before - he has so many - he has always been Mr Popular and it's lovely to see that they think the world of him.

I discovered from one of them that his nickname for me is "Mother Goose". So..........I had to let them know that when he was little we called him "Limpet" - because he was such a cuddly clingy little thing. ;) At least I didn't take any baby pictures with me.

Time for a quick shower and then off to see OH.

    Have a lovely day.

    Happy Sunday everyone :)

I am melting  I was on an autism course all day yesterday (very good but sitting on a plastic chair was less so ) but it didnt feel as hot as it does today.
Been to a car boot this morning, wore my new max dress.....I confess I felt very glam :) I wish I'd bought more of them now :o
anyway not drunk enough today apart from some fizzy pop so need to go and top up that tank.
Terrible sleeps, DS is having horrendous nose bleeds every night so hes waking in a pool of his own blood and the entire bed then has to be stripped and soaked in cold water. Good job my heavy periods have been good training for blood stains :o:rotfl:
Need to do some ironing although I confess I really want to lie down and sleep :o
Usual fabbing, factor 50 suncream, i burn easily being natural blonde and getting a tan is no longer a priority for me. Mindful eating has been hit and miss but I havent been gorging myself either. However I do need to focus on my food more so will do that when we have our picnic later :)

lizzie Aldis range of fabbing stuff are very reasonable and nice quality so dont spend a fortune. you can use sugar for a facial scrub or I use bicarb but becareful the latter isnt too drying for your skin. If it helps you to offload here please do so, no one minds if its your place to vent xx

hugs all round for everyone, I'd better head off and go drink something before I get more dehydrated

I'm another one that's had a pleasant day tootling around.
I met up with a new friend (arranged by me no less!) and we went for a lovely long walk with the dogs calling at 2 pubs for refreshments (only diet coke, still trying to be good) and had a good old natter in the sun. Then sat in the garden for a couple of hours and had another big salad for tea. I've caught up a bit on work too so tomorrow shouldn't be as hectic as it could be.

In the spirit of fabness, I've ironed some tops for the week, done my toenails and defuzzed. Just 5 more days then a lovely week off with half term (sorry to all you parents, I bet teachers are the bottom of your xmas card lists!:rotfl:) No doubt it will rain all week for me though.

Hope everyone has a good week.
    xx

((hugs)) lizzie sorry your oh is being a bit of a tit
sounds like everyone is enjoying the nice weekend :)

We started moving things out of Nan's house this weekend which was very strange. There is very little in the family, always been stupidly poor, what little there is has strong sentimental value to everyone so we agreed to discuss everything people wanted. It didn't exactly go to plan but it could have been worse.
I'm back at my uni home now and feeling very weird for all sorts of reasons. Me and OH have so much moving and driving and collecting of furniture to do this weekend so I really should be packing but I'm just a bit brain dead right now :( My annoying flatmate has people from her country of origin society over being noisy and discussing how they're going to stay here and go on the dole. I'm hungry but if I go into the kitchen I'll be done for GBH.

Just a quickie before bed - have been very good and polished off a big pile of ironing tonight whilst it was a bit cooler.

Glad to hear you are all enjoying the sun - WW your new clothes sound fab. Snug 12 indeed. :D

Foodwise I've been very good - my tummy is feeling a lot less bloated already. So even if I've not lost any weight yet I feel better.

I'm due for my physiotherapy tomorrow so will pull in some shopping at the same time and stock up on fruit and veg again.

My friend who has been so ill finally died today. So very very sad - she was such lovely person and always so kind to my OH, popping round to see him with sweeties or chocolate for him and little bunches of flowers for me. I shall really miss her. She was just 52.

Adelight - Glad to hear you're OK (ish). Take care sweetie.

Bitsy - what does the doctor say about the nosebleeds. Must be very upsetting for you all.

    G'night all - keep fabbing.

LL so sorry to hear about your friend but I hope she's finally at peace xxxx think of you and her family xxxx

Doctor wouldn't consider cauterisation for the blood vessel at the moment (no idea why) but am using some cream to gave me to help heal the "wound". If we continue to have several days of this I shall be going back asking for a referral. Thankfully no bleed last night, we also put a fan in his room some was even cooler.

Got to dash as I have to go walk Luna, check back in later x

    Hello everybody,

Yesterday was a clothes day which wasn't very nice. Sorted out everything into winter wear, summer wear and those garments that do not fit. It wasn't a "fab" task and just highlighted what's happened over a long period in life. Anyway, have made an effort with my appearance to test whether anything positive might happen, despite my doubt.

It has been a very sedentary month so difficult not to feel "frumpy" and body weight is increasing? Hoping for healthier times!

Sorry to hear about your friend lessonlearned.

Good luck everybody with your goals.

    Wardrobe - Part 1

    Hello everybody,

Dannie Your post has bought me beautifully to our first W of the the week. Thanks for that.

It has also helped me to see now why you are finding Frump to Fab so difficult.

I would have said that going through your wardrobe is actually a very Fab thing to do. You were doing something very positive - taking those first steps to "dejunking" all those bad things in your past, making room for a fresh start.

You were also taking time out and doing something just for you That has to be good.

I admit that it can be painful to relive old memories sometimes and that clothes can be a very powerful trigger. However, I do believe that something as simple and as mundane as having a good old wardrobe clear out can be very cathartic. It can set us on a new path.

You may have found it difficult doing it yesterday but now that it's done I'm sure you'll soon be feeling much better about yourself.

That last sentence that I have highlighted is a bit more worrying though and even more revealing. You do sound very low and the words "despite my doubt" speak volumes.

Try to put aside your doubts, try not to think about how you are going to get Fab, just relax and trust in the process. It does take time, and yes a little bit of effort. "Just go with the flow", taking each day as it comes.

Lord knows I know how hard it is - my mind is whirling at the moment trying to decide what's best for my OH. But - sometimes it's best just to try to live in "the moment" - take some enjoyment each day just from the simple things.

We cannot change the past and if we spend all our time fretting about the future we forget to live in the present. Today is glorious again - just concentrate on today and enjoy the sunshine - it won't be here much longer. :rotfl: This week could be our summer;)

Sorting out your wardrobe really is an excellent start - yes it can be depressing trying to find something nice to wear but good wardrobe maintenance is all part of good grooming and making the very best of what we have.

Please remember that the Frump to Fab ethos is about TLC - learning how to take better care of ourselves, learning to love ourselves again, learning how to enjoy life again, learning how to see feel joy, learning how to have fun.

It's not about recapturing our youth, it's about re-energising, regaining our "joire de vie", and getting a little bit of va-va-voom back into our lives.

Ladies - your task for today???

Just enjoy this lovely sunshine. Sorry if you are stuck at work, but when you come home this evening - enjoy it then.
