LL - So sorry to hear about your friend. Sending ((hugs)) to you.
Bitsy - Hope DS's nose bleeds stop soon, it must be a worry.
Dannie - You are doing well sorting through your wardrobe.
Lizzie - Hope you find your fabbing items and good luck with the pony.
I want to have a wardrobe sort out (you have inspired me Dannie!), but it will have to wait as I have two job applications to complete, a job interview this afternoon and I really need to finish reading the last course book by tomorrow, and get started on the final assignment.
Once the course is over I am going to do some serious decluttering/selling as me and my sister have decided on visiting New Zealand for three months next year.
I went back to see the doctor last week who has doubled the anti depressant dose, if no improvement after another 2 weeks, I will need to come off this type and try another one. The latest library book I have is 'Boosting Self-Esteem For Dummies' so will start reading it later.0 -

My friend who has been so ill finally died today. So very very sad - she was such lovely person and always so kind to my OH, popping round to see him with sweeties or chocolate for him and little bunches of flowers for me. I shall really miss her. She was just 52.
.
Really sorry about your friend, certainly puts things in perspective doesn't it. Thinking of you and her family. ((hugs))LL - pony.

Good luck with the interview and your assignment.
Are you thinking of doing any more study or have you completed it all? Hope you are feeling a bit brighter. Am going to look for a couple of self esteem books in library later.
Adelight- Hope you are ok.
Bitsy- My son suffers like this a bit too. Wakes up with pillow etc covered in blood. I didn't realise there was anything you could do. Tbh though it was a family trait as my dad used to suffer the same when he was young but is ok now. Hope your son is ok.
Dannie -Well done on sorting you wardrobe. Hope you've given yourself a pat on the back.
Have found my things:o. Must confess it was the staw at the time so probably over reacted a bit.:o
Went to see pony again, just to groom, pony was fine with us even though I was v. nervous which I know is no good. Still awaiting reply from instructor as to what he thinks but DD2 is beginning to think things aren't all they seem herself. So perhaps she'll decide of her own accord that pony isn't right for her.
Have also emailed WA about my housing rights. Have looked for properties with a view to moving but the rents are more than the LHA so I'd have to top up and it also has a knock on effect when I do either find work or try setting up in business.
Had a chill out day yesterday. Put my foot down and didn't make a sunday dinner, and made a start on my OU assignment.
Back is feeling a bit better so am going to try some of the ideas on here and see if I can get it strengthened up.
Enjoy the sun but take care and don't get burned  xFrump to Fab - Solstice Sizzler

Sorry to hear about your friend lessonlearned, such a young age..
Your 'W' is inspiring as usual, wardrobe decluttering sounds good.....won't take me long as I've been broke for so long there aren't many clothes to sort through.
Weigh in this morning - 3lbs lost :j:j:j Went swimming with a friend and did an extra six lengths to celebrate :rotfl:This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

:T:T:T - one for each pound. Cracking start.
I've stayed the same- I'm obviously not trying hard enough:o
Going to have five minutes in the garden, sunning myself then time to get the dinner ready.
Got the joiner coming tomorrow to put new doors on DS2's wardrobe so will need to help him clear the space tonight - otherwise there will be sawdust and wood shavings over everything.
Hope you've all had a good day.0 -
Sat and did a little bit of fabbing earlier. I don't suffer with cracked heels but I do get cracks in the skin on the ball of my foot. its a sign I've not been wearing socks and moisturising my feet enough
:o So I've cleaned off my old nail varnish, got my little pedicure sander and given my feet a good going over.....its a Homedics one and its got small interchangable heads for smoothing rough skin. Have now moisturised feet, legs and arms, will repaint toe nails shortly
ought to have some dinner but not feeling really hungry. Still battling those body image demons:(
callisto - 3 months in NZ sounds heavenly :T
rachel - just remind yourself you're working on a capsule wardrobe
dannie - just take those baby steps, negative self image doesn't change overnight......I know from bitter experience. have a good day yesterday and then feel those old negative thoughts creeping on me today, all because of a photographI need therapy
I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks

Evening ladies!
LL - sorry to hear about your friend, my condolences. xx
I completely forgot about weighing but I will do tomorrow morning to see if there's any change - well done Rachel!
I stuck to the fruitathon and salad all weekend - no cheating at all, very good for me.:A Today I've had a cereal bar for breakfast, fruit for lunch and 1 small biscuit and pasta for tea, with straws/pineapple to come later if peckish.
I had a little compliment today about my hair - someone said that it had a nice shape and that it was growing nicely - it is starting to have a bit of length now and it makes me look and feel better. Always nice to have a little ego boost;)
Will try to think of a W to contribute.....0 -
LL, sorry to hear about your loss.
Well done to everyone sticking to their diet plans, not me today unfortunately!
Making the most of the lovely sunny weather, had supper outside, off to hot yoga now (though this week it's hot enough already without the room being heated I think!0 -
Sorry, been missing in action. Been so busy. So tired too.
I have won a battle with my CarePlan. It means that I can have my hair washed and set each week at the hairdressers now that my arm is not going up high enough, or for long enough for me to do my hair. I can wash and go, but then I am a frizz (and exhausted). So I am so pleased that I can now get to book a weekly hairdo. Yipee. I dont mean the cut and colour, I just mean the wash and blow dry type of thing.
The rest of the time I have been dressing as well as I can, worn some jewellry for a while now, but still lack the energy to do the make up much. Now in this weather its too hot to wear makeup really. So its just a bit of cream when I remember! Oh dear.
I will try harder. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Just a suggestion for those who don't fancy full make up in this weather - tinted moisturiser, or if youve got a bit of colour frol the sun, one of those luminosity creams just to give your skin a bit of a glow - I think No7 do one, I've dug out this morning a Benefit one - 'That Gal' that I've had for years.
A cream blush rather than powder for a healthy flush, the Maxfactor Miracle Touch Creamy Blush is excellent and I just dab it on with my finger in seconds, finish with a slick of lip gloss and I'm done! (Can't do mascara as hayfever beats all sensitive, waterproof etc mascara I've tried)
I looked pretty good today, at least in the face, even of I do say so myself.0
