Afternoon all.
I'm very tired today - just couldn't sleep last night and resorted to taking some Nytol type stuff at 3am and then was promptly woken by the windowcleaner at 8am:mad:
Never mind at least I can have a quiet day today. I have taken the dog to the park for an hour so he'll be nice and quiet this afternoon and I can have a sit down and relax.
Minimal fabbing today - had a bath and washed my hair, moisturised and defuzzed but thats about the sum of it. I'm not going anywhere other than taking the dog out again later so I'm having a day off makeup - often do this on the weekend to give my skin a rest - and the hair can dry by itself and be put in a stumpy pony tail later (my excuse is a day off heat damage, not that I just can't be bothered:rotfl:).
I'm still trying to stick to the diet but did have a little wobble last night with a shared bag of crisps - weigh in day is tomorrow so lets hope for a teeny movement in the right direction.
Going to give myself a break this afternoon and watch a movie or something off the Sky box and do......NOTHING!0 -
Evening everyone
Defuzzed this morning, had chills this evening so had a bath (DD insisted on joining me for a little bit :rotfl:) gave some TLC to the feet, pumice stone and a foot scrub and then OCM afterwards. Eyebrows need a tidy but thats a job for tomorrow as am too tired tonight. Yet another poor night sleep thanks to DD, dog and cat. Here's hoping for a better sleep tonight.
Forgot to say LW jasper is gorgeous
Podperson hope the pics turn out ok
Welsh woofer hope you have better sleep tonight
Sparkles enjoy bike hunting......personally I am not a cyclist.....unless they invent one with a safe for the seat :rotfl:I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks

Alas no! I went to sleep ok at about 11pm but was awake at 4am and eventually got up at 5.30 in frustration.
Its horse riding for me this morning and unfortunately its raining at the moment - hope it clears up a bit by mid morning. I'm quite looking forward to it but I am a bit nervous, not about the horses, I'm going with the Spice group but don't know anyone (yet) so its another leap into the unknown for me. I'm sure it will be fine though (she says convincing herself!)
My mum is coming to stay next week. She was originally here from Tuesday to Thursday but has now announced that she's arriving on Monday and leaving on Friday. My disabled sister normally comes too but she's on a holiday with her friends in a holiday home with carers for the week. This will be the first time ever (in my 40 years) that mum and I have spent time by ourselves - Dad is working and golfing and happy for her to spend a bit of time away relaxing. I've booked tickets for Phantom of the Opera on Weds and arranged a few things that she'll like to do like taking the dogs to a country park, a cinema trip and a meal or two. To be honest it will be a bit strange without my sister to consider - there are a lot of things we normally can't do when she's with us - like taking the dogs cross country, just popping out etc but it will do my mum good to have a week off, although I am a teeny bit stressed about the length of time, I'm used to living alone and pleasing myself but I'm sure it will be fine:o.
On the fab front I've just weighed (normal Saturday weigh in) and I've now lost a total of 5lbs.:j I've only really been making an effort for just over 2 weeks so not too bad. As I only want to lose a stone its a nice chunk out of it - 9 lbs to go!
Right, just waiting for it to get light and then I can take the dog out - although he's snoring on the sofa next to me at the moment not looking overly keen!
Hope everyone has a good day
x0 -
I woke up at 5.23am this morning and decided to get up at 6 too.
Well done on your weight loss, a great chunk has come off there! Always nice when some weight comes off to keep you motivated to keep going and not put it back on straight away.
Well, the washer's on, had breakfast, so I guess its time to get ready and take the dog out, who is currently fast asleep in his basket curled up tight. How come he can lay in and I can't!final unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -
Well done WW on the weightloss, sorry about the sleep. Luna had me up at 4.30 to go out so wasn't as restful as wished, up again at 6am.
Quite fancy doing some yoga but with an unwalked puppy I don't think I'll have much room on my yoga mat. I was doing downward dog yesterday and Luna came and sat underneath me :rotfl:I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks

Looks like none of us can sleep!
I was in the park just after 7am and there was only one other person there - my hairdresser and his dog - just the person you want to see when your hair is unwashed and looking like a mad hedge! Have since showered and washed my hair ready for going out, bet I won't see anyone now I look more presentable!
PS Bitsy - if I ever go mad and try to do a fitness DVD my dog joins in too - his favourite appears to be the 30 Day Shred but it doesn;t appear to have made any difference to his portly stature!0 -
WW :T:T:T on the weight loss.
Am loving the idea of the doggies joining in with the fun. :rotfl::rotfl: Made me laugh so much.
Now will you kind ladies either shoot me and put me out of my misery or give me a sharp kick up the derriere. I put myself on the scales this morning...................
WW - let's just say you are winning the race - comfortably. Even my BIL is doing better than me. Also you are shaming me into not getting out and about more. I just can't seem to summon up any enthusiasm at the moment - not even for going out and having fun.How lame is that.
I just cannot get my a** in gear at the moment.
Admittedly I did have a very busy day yesterday but I am so kn***ered I can hardly function. This should not be. It's not like I was doing heavy work - only shopping, running a few errands and visiting Mum & Dad. I'm sleeping well too unlike some of you poor things who are struggling with that.
This constant tiredness, and the never ending pain and stiffness is starting to get to me.
My dad asked me what was wrong with my leg yesterday. Apparently I was dragging it along and I hadn't even noticed.:o When I went to physic on Thursday she was concerned about my right hip so that must be it.
I am getting seriously fed up with it all now. (Told you I was an impatient patient:o)
I am fed up with being held back and not being able to do much, fed up with resting, taking it easy. I've a got a mountain of stuff I want and need to do.
I'm just going to have to start delegating, and/or buy some help for a while. I may as well - I'm spending a small fortune on physic and getting nowhere fast.:o
On the plus side - here's my positives for today;)
1. I may be dragging my leg but unlike my lovely OH I can at least walk - I am very grateful. I am acutely aware that there are many who are far worse off. I am lucky.
2. DS2's old banger passed it's MOT with flying colours. :j:j.
3. My parents gave my sister and I a lovely "Easter Egg" gift of £100 each to treat ourselves.
4. I picked up some amazing bargains at Morrison's yesterday. An ornamental flowering cherry tree £5, a weeping willow £2, a twisted willow £2, an acer £3 (for DS2) and a blueberry bush for £4. - Guess what DS2 will be doing this weekend.
I only have a small garden so the willows will go in pots to stunt their growth.
We are a making a small nursery area of plants and trees for when DS2 gets his own place and for as and when I move.
I've done this in the past - buying small cheap trees and bushes, etc from supermarkets and £ shops etc and then nursing them along until I move them to their final position. Much cheaper than buying larger plants from garden centres.
Anyway off to get cracking.
Have a lovely Easter everyone. X0 -
WW well done on the weight loss; my final half stone stubbornly refuses to budge, though I have lost what I put back on when they mucked around with my anti-d's.:o Enjoy the horse-riding - I'm jealous; that's something I used to do regularly, but can no longer do. Let us know how it goes!:oBitsy_Beans wrote: »Quite fancy doing some yoga but with an unwalked puppy I don't think I'll have much room on my yoga mat. *Lines up on LL's derriere*
..... BOOT!!
You remember I wanted to wash my hair *counts days on fingers* last Wednesday? It finally got done this morning, after I said to Mr LW that we really needed to see to it before it walks off my head in disgust!:DIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Well, I'm back from horse riding and thankfully it stayed dry. I will NOT be able to walk/move tomorrow, I'm stiff already. Knees seem to be the biggest sore point so far but I'm sure inner thighs and bum will catch up quickly:eek: . I had a fab time with 5 others that I'd never met before, good fun and lovely horses. I would recommend the Spice groups to anyone - been to a couple of things now and everyone has been really friendly, down to earth and they expect you to go along to things on your own so you don't feel out of place at all. Its not all adventure sports and hard core stuff, there's meals, pub nights, quizzes, walking etc.
I'm so glad I plucked up the courage to go to the first thing (or event as they call them) - I really do think it will change my life for the better (that sounds cheesy but it will get me out and about and meeting new people).
My horse was called Thumbellina - an ironic name as it was flipping massive! Good natured though.
LL - get yourself out and about! Perhaps we fabbers should arrange a meet up somewhere? Hope you feel better soon. xx
LW - are you like a shampoo advert now? All glossy flowing locks - you ARE worth it!:)
Need to go food shopping this afternoon and then have a nice hot bath this evening to sooth my aching muscles. Diet has been well and truly blown today though - the stables made us cheesy toasties and a can of full fat coke for after the ride - scoffed the lot quite happily:o Perhaps some of it will be counterbalanced by the exercise?:A:rotfl:0 -
WW you have no idea how much nicer my hair feels:o - it's so annoying when you have to rely on someone else to be available for such a basic thing, too. Actually, I probably resemble a Red Setter as much as anything, right now.:rotfl:
:rotfl: @ Thumbellina; where I lived before, there was a lady who had two thundering great big Newfoundland dogs, named Twiggy and Twinkle.:D
Going to fab Jasper in a moment:D - he's got lots of feathery bits, which really need to be brushed daily. He'll get one of his treats afterwards.;)If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0
