Ok currants , raisins and sultanas .. My head is hurting .. What the difference between a raisin and a currant ? Are currants just dried black currants ?

In other financial news ( though no where near as exciting) I Tilly tided and because I was very very well behaved and had no sugar today at all I sugar shuffled £2 purely as an encouragement to keep going :)

    • Raisins are dried white grapes. They are dried to produce a dark, sweet fruit. The grapes used are usually Moscatel.
    • Sultanas are also dried white grapes but from seedless varieties. They are golden in color and tend to be plumper, sweeter and juicier than other raisins. Also referred to as Golden Raisins in the US.
    • Currants are dried, dark red, seedless grapes. They are dried to produce a black, tiny shrivelled, flavour-packed the grapes were originally cultivated in the south of Greece, and the name currant comes from the ancient city of 'Corinth'.

Skinty I'm nights for two nights ( last night and tonight) two more overtime shifts ( that I didn't ask for but sick leave needs covered)

Have done week two day two of c25k it wasn't easy I felt like I had lead weights attached to my legs but I think ( hope) it's due to lack of sleep

Had a lovely sausage casserole today, the one that I had choppe up etc last night

No Tilly tidies to do ... I'm tempted to go and buy a roll at 24p to get one though lol

Will do my sugar shuffle whilst in work if I manage to have a sugar free day again

Mr el did day one of shred today, I was surprised he had decided to do it as he has been down quite a bit, his depression seems to be bad just now, he was at the drs today an the dr wanted to our him back in anti depressants but he refused, I think he's maybe trying to release dopamine through excercise ... Fingers crossed it helps him
  • Hi El, I hope Mr El makes progress. The winter is such a miserable time, roll on the Spring :)

    Best wishes Tilly x

Thanks Tilly .... I'm sure he will be fine... The thing I think that is making it manageable for both of us is the fact that he is being proactive about it, depression is such a horrible illness and tbh where we have been before with it is somewhere we don't ever want to go back to ( I don't imagine anyone would to be fair) but as long as he is proactive I can't really ask much more of him

Fingers crossed the lighter nights coning in will help shortly

Well only a few more hours to go and that's my 31 hours of overtime done this week, now to do my own 31 hour week starting Friday, but at least I'm not night shift tonight :)

Have the speakers club to go to though, havn't been since before Xmas, I'm quite looking forward to it tbh

I should have a Tilly tidy today as Mr El will be visiting the butchers on the way home to buy some mince, that should leave us about £20 for the month to buy odds and ends, will need to nip into asda and get a shopping done on Sunday

I still have the same £10 in my purse that's been there since Sunday so it's good to know I havn't had any frivolous spends :)

My monthly standing order for the extra to my mortgage came out today which helps take my monthly overpayment for the mortgage up, will wait till the end of the month before I work out exactly how much as I'm sure I will sugar shuffle more between now and then

Financially wise all out money is where it should be so we are just waiting for the bills to c
