Ahhhh right dragon that makes sense ... Thanks will attempt that at the weekend... I may in future be able to join those individual's that can make so many meals from a chicken, I've stood in awe of them for years and often wanted to emulate them but didn't know how0

Oh and if you want a clear stock, say for Chinese or Japanese light soups then just boil the carcase (no veggies) and skim the "scum" off during cooking.
Edit to say : remember you can do this with any roasted bird so duck, turkey etcDo not meddle in the affairs of Dragons, for thou art crunchy and good with catsup

Dragon I've only cooked a chicken once till now as I didn't have a clue what I was doing so it will be exciting to attempt to cook other birds as well ... Silly q but does the stock taste any different depending on what bird ?
I have always just bought chicken breasts ... Although mr el doesn't like chicken breast he puts up with them
He will be delighted to know I'm gonna try another one lol0 -

There is a slight difference yes(but don't ask me what as I have been veggie now for a while!)

i used to be a veggie, theres some things i miss about the veggie lifestyle, but it sadly just couldnt give me the 100g of complete protein my body requires per day ( apparently i should be on more than 100g per day but 100g is all i can manage)
in my out of date cupboard was some light tahini, i wasnt sure what to use this for, i usually use it for making humus, but i havnt got the time for humus just now ( although i should make the time as i have enough chickpeas ) so i was wondering what to do with it, i have landed up mixing it in with my porridge, that seems to have worked and it tastes ok, i am quite happy using the products up in this cupboard but will need to research some recipes using frozen fruit, manuka honey ( although they are still in date) and bulgar wheat
in finance news, i have transferred all the money to where it should be but floating about in internet airways is £450 that i have transferred to somewhere and it's not quite arrived where it should yet, have topped up the shopping card and paid the £7.50 off of an interest bearing debt as suggested by tilly earlier on in the month, have paid the minimum to the non interest bearing debt and concentrated on putting as much into the interest bearing debt as i can.
because my new current account finally gives me interest i am not really wanting to transfer the holiday money or the extra money into their accounts so that i can make a few pennies more ... but i am a tad concerned that i see this money as available, so this month i will be staying on top of this to ensure i dont spend what i cant afford to, if i fail doing it this way then i will ultimatley put the money into the accounts that i set up for them from next month on, this month is going to be a kindve experiment with myself to see if i can manage without touching anything...
i think thats it for now, i have to head up the street soon and buy some turnip, carrots and mushrooms for the sausage caserole which i need to start cooking later on0 -
