My brain visited the dirty corner there

That corner needs visiting every now and again.
Sometimes a stay there is called for..."Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)

what i'm thinking is every month adding up the total debt i owe and dividing it by how many months i have left of this challenge, then i must pay that as a minimum every month, this should deal with the confusion of debt going higher ( like it did through the summer, it got really confusing for me)
so if say during the month i add to the debt by two hundred and i still have 75 months left to go i would have my new total ( plus the two hundred just added) and divide that by the 75, and that would be what i have to pay for the month
this way i think i will be more on top of dealing with the debt, feel more in control of dealing with it, have the bonus of paying less the next month ( if i over pay the month before) should i need to ( say going away on holiday or a birthday or something), and i think this will keep it as a kinda challenge for me, for a wee while anyway lol
i'm also saving £150 a month, as you know my intention is to turn the money situation around, so i fully intend (now, due to giving it a good deal of thought) on having savings of at least £10,0000 -
The stress course I went on many eons ago had two basic causes of stress; feeling you weren't in control and feeling you needed to aspire to meet other peoples expectations.
It was a good course.
I take from this that anything that gives you more control is good.Debt LBM (08/09) £11,641. DEBT FREE APRIL 2021.

i think it will give me more control Butti, i think it will be less confusing as well, the whole adding and taking away and possibly forgetting things got too much to work out ( hence the reason i took it out of my signature)
i think also looking at it closely every month will mean that it stays in the forefront of my mind, it's going to get a bit ugggh finding out how much i owe for the start of every month as the visa's usually come in middle of the month, but i will phone and find out, that way i know whats ahead and can work it out
i think i do need a specific date to work it all out as its good to pin things down and the first is one of those dates that sets the scene for the month ahead, i will know how much i need to pay that month and have the month to work on it
just told mr el the plan, he didnt even notice i was doing a 100 month challenge:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: so either i havnt made it too uncomfortable for him, or he wanders around un aware and not listening :rotfl::rotfl:0 -
