I think it's less of a visual experience, and more a nasal one...

I'm another in favour of Dads, as mine if lovely too. Unless we are playing something like Cluedo in which case he's the opposition mwoah ha ha ha haaaaaaaa

Re Mr shortie's Dad, thanks Butti - that was pretty helpful actually :) A hotel could be an option I guess - we don't have any near us (we're out in the sticks) and part of the reason he stays for so long when he comes over is that Mr Shorties parents live in Wales (we are now near Cambridge) and part of it for Mr Shortie is the fact he sees his parents as well as being hospitable. I was planning to suggest staying in a hotel if he couldn't be respectful in my house as it goes, but the sleeping in my house isn't the issue, it's the waking moments that can be difficult, lol. We have plenty of normal times, but the 'cutting' moments get to me more and more (and are getting more frequent and public) hence finally reaching flash point

I'm feeling oddly positive about Christmas today - I'm going to hold onto it for as long as possible - as my Dad would say - 'otherwise it could become a self-fullfilling prophecy' :D

I won my Blue Peter badge when I designed a dress for Val Singleton :)

It was not the Fjord inspired number... as far as I remember it had a big skirt that had tulips on it !!!

Shortie : The best phrase I learned from a very expensive year long course is 'And you're saying that because?'

It tends to stop people in their tracks and lets them know that what they have been said has been registered and you are questioning it in a polite way. Kind a difficult to justify some nasty comment without digging themselves into a hole. And while they have your and everyone else's attention, it may make them look silly at best ...

Now... how to I look at an Avatar?
