I'm sorry board guides i'm sure this has been done to the death but I can't find it and I have spent ages looking so please forgive me :A
A tom cat seems to have got in and sprayed in my house. No wet patches on walls or carpets, but i do have a general area and our cat came in this morning and sniffed a certain door frame so I hope that's a big hint as to where it is!
So... how do I clean and get rid of the smell?I have all the usual OS cleaners, vinegar, bicarb, stardrops etc as well as some generic kitched and bathroom sprays, although the vinegar i have is malt not brown. What do i use and how??
Thank you!0 -
I found the best thing is washing powder in warm water is the best as it takes the smell as well as the wee I think it does have to be biological washing powder to work HTH0

I'm hiring a carpet cleaner because a neighbourhood cat has been breaking in (much to the disgust of our two cats) and peeing all over the bl00dy place! Now I'm hiring from HSS, who try to sell you their shampoo. What I'm wondering is can I get some of the special shampoo for pet smells and use that in their cleaner?
Has anyone tried this?******** Never be a spectator of unfairness or stupidity *******"Always be calm and polite, and have the materials to make a bomb"0 -
We use bissell pet odour, don't know if it will work in your cleaner.0

Just had a further read of the (tiny) small print on the instructions, and it says to only use products supplied by HSS. Hmmmm. The only reason I want to do this is to get rid of the smell, so not so sure now.******** Never be a spectator of unfairness or stupidity *******"Always be calm and polite, and have the materials to make a bomb"0

Either go to a contract cleaning suppliers they have really good ones especially for carpets or Pets at home do a good urine neutraliser - quite expensive but well worth it - but I would try Bicarb in warm water first
