Why don't you head over to the Ebay & other auctions, Car Boot and Jumble Sales Board for some advice?
They are a very helpful and friendly bunch and will help you out0 -
I think they are talking about cash converters in town, its near the big primark-just down from office.
Thanks for the help guys!
Any idea which forum I should post it in to get approximate prices or what I should be asking cause I don't want ripped off.
We aren't too good with the net and don't have accounts with ebay or credit cards or anything so we're gonna stick to car boot sale!0 -
best bet is to try and go to the boot sale before you do one and see what others are selling similar items at. videos range from 50p - £1 loads of people are selling them. books 20p -£1 depending on quality, cd's £1+.

There are a couple of ebay shops I know of in Belfast. One in Rosemary St (although they may specialise in Jewellery) and one at the junction of Albertbridge and Newtonards Roads.
They take the photos, set up the auction page, handle payment and shipping, but they do take something like a 30% commission on whatever you get on ebay.0 -
Carboots are not the best place to be selling things like you are to be honest. Ebay is 100% the better option for things like CDs and certainly signed stuff, the level of interest will be much higher on the internet. For example, I would buy A child called it from you right now :rotfl:Bet match total as of 04/10 = God Knows + About £1000 Quidco. Time for Mrs Huddsta to have a crack!!!

Honestly, like everyone else here is saying, Ebay is the way to go. Selling is really easy to do and they give you a fairly good step-by-step approach in the Ebay help section. Besides, if you're going to Uni you'll have all the wonderful libraries and can use their PCs. Use a parent's credit card if you don't have your own to cover the cost of the insertion fees (and if you time it right Ebay normally have at least one discounted listing day a month). All the prices for postage and packaging can be calculated really easily at the Post Office website (https://www.royalmail.co.uk).
If you still reckon it's not for you, you could try selling it to the bric-a-brac shops in the Smithfield centre (out the back doors of Castlecourt). You won't get top dollar for it but probably more than a car boot sale.Life in this world is, as it were, a sojourn in a cave. What can we know of reality? For all we can see of the true nature of existence is, shall we say, no more than bewildering and amusing shadows cast upon the inner wall of the cave by the unseen blinding light of absolute truth, from which we may or may not deduce some glimmer of veracity, and we as troglodyte seekers of wisdom can only lift our voices to the unseen and say humbly "Go on, do deformed rabbit again.....it's my favourite". © Terry Pratchett in "Small Gods"
