catalogues never used to charge an interest rate as such. they made money as the selling price was always more than elsewhere and then it would be spread over x number of weeks. eg £250 tv, catalogue price £400 = 40 easy weekly payments of £10. now people are generally more value conscious and can check prices on internet, they work more like a high interest rate credit card that can only be used in 1 shop. they will make money on the people that can't afford to pay over 3 installments or miss the pay back date for buy now pay later
With the BNPL 12 month option, can we pay before the 12 months. We need to get a hoover, but we're getting married in 5 months, so can't really afford to buy at the mo. Can we pay it off in full over two months as soon as wedding is done?0 -
The TV will be an added bonus, getting an extra 10% off.0

Hey,
You can pay as much as you like anytime you like. I do it all online but you can also call them up.
I have a number of BNPL and I just stick some money across them every so often.
They do also give you reminders of when the BNPL is up and about 2 months before, it comes up on your online account with options ie. pay it off or pay interest.0 -
The good thing with their BNPL option you can always pay by your credit card. When my BNPL is nearly up I will pay with my cash back credit card and will get another 56 days extra plus 1 percent cash back.0

And it's all furniture! A few years ago it would have been clothes and shoes. I'm getting old!0 -
