Oh I can't believe you can buy fleece nose warmers! :j Every night I lie in bed all cosy except for my big beak sticking out and freeeeeezing! They're pretty dear for what you get, but worth it I reckon - I know what my Christmas money is going on!:D0

alias - my old nan would say 'you will catch your death of cold'! strange really, as I grew up without central heating and to this day cannot sleep in a heated room!
layers hun - layers and layers of clothes! and get the heating sorted! its dangerous not to - a boiler which hasnt been serviced is a death trap. I dont mean to scare you unduly - but, I know of a couple who died because their boiler was emitting carbon monoxide - and their grandson died also that night. get the heating sorted ASAP!0 -
alias - I mean it! you must have the heating on if you say the radiators arent getting warm! the system is faulty hun - and I DONT want to be wondering where Aliasojo is if you dont post for a few days!!!0

:rotfl: at all the suggestions about the nipple warmers ...
I believe they only stay on if you've got a bra on, but as that's not a part of my anatomy I've ever complained about being cold, I haven't been bought a set. It looks, from reading the blurb, as if you stuff them inside the cups of your bra, over the pointy bits, so I'm guessing the photo is 'posed by model', with the help of some glue, or a friendly possum. There wouldn't really be much to show if they were inside the model's bra, would there?
They used to do a g-string in the same fabric, but that seems to have been discontinued. Thankfully.
I can only echo all meritaten says about having the boiler serviced.Signature removed for peace of mind0 -
The boiler is an oil burning one that sits in the far corner of the garage. I don't believe there is any risk to us from it (and yes we have a detector, not sure if it's any good for oil mind you but we have one anyway).
I read the manual for it and it cites the exact thing that this is doing, i.e. continually cutting out and coming back on erratically. It advices a part be replaced, something to do with the thermostat.
Appreciate the concern though. Thank you.

Anything that burns, creates carbon monoxide, which is the killer one, so yes oil makes the same gas.
If it's in your garage then you should be ok, but I'm glad you've got the detector anyway. Just be careful if anyone spends any time in the garage and gets headaches.Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.0 -
yes oil burners make the same gases! alias - please hun - get that heating system sorted! carbon monoxide is insidous - it can leak into the house from outbuildings. it shouldnt be taken lightly - not to mention the waste of money if your heating is on and NOT working properly!0
