'Bout time for another moan I think......

My boiler is nearly dead. It provides enough for a quick shower, then gives up the ghost. To expect it to provide central heating as well is not going to happen.
So I've insulated the house and am wearing a few layers. Do you have a hat? It does make a tremendous difference. I'm designed for tropical weather and feel the cold a lot. I currently have a half height electric oil heater under my chair, on a barely warm setting, and a blanket wrapped around my knees and over half the chair, trapping the tiny amount of heat the heater is producing. It's surprisingly effective.0 -
Lol...did anyone see the knitted cosy things that were on top of the smoothies that Boots were selling in their meals deals a few weeks back? They're just egg cosies really...maybe I could just attach some elastic to go round the back of my head and I could wear it like a beak. :rotfl:
I'm sure it would amuse the kids. See...silver lining and all that.

When my nose gets cold, even when i'm in the house, I put on a scarf over my nose and my breath warms it up.

Please get an egg cosy and some elastic and post a picture. :rotfl:0 -

Sadly, to look at me, you'd think I was designed for the depths of winter.
;):D
Only problem with your solution to keeping warm is that it's very much a solitary answer. I could keep warm that way too but I think OH and the kids might register a complaint if I went down that route.

Alternatively you could use an ultra thin ST or panty liner (depending on how big your nose is:eek:) an fix it the length of your nose:D
