Thank you! We were on JSA before so yes it is a big boost to our finances and self esteem. It was a relief to find jobs before Christmas.0

What a fab thread OP :j:beer:
 2011 for me:
I had my LBM at the beginning of the year straight after xmas 2010...........(when all the bills came in ) )
DH & I have learned how to budget, cut our grocery bill by around half  managed to pay for a holiday, new car (ok only a caravan hol and a 10 yr old car but still....:rotfl:) in CASH.
We've lived without credit cards, loans, overdrafts for nearly a whole year now and we've got rid of around £3k of debt :T......i'm very happy because we haven't added to it, we've learned how to save for what we want (:o!)
 and looking forward to 2012 and paying more debt off :beer:Mortgage Overpayments 2024/25 - September-December, £152.46. J- £103.27, F- £115, M- £91.50, A- £100, M- £200, J- £200. J- £200. A-£200, S- £221.34. O-£200EF- £642.41/500
 Total- £1783.67
Goal pay off 1% of current mortgage in 1 year. £1650

This year I've realised my business as a driving instructor wasn't working, therefore had my LBM and since then found two jobs, one permanent in retail and one temporary in my previous field - Council Tax recovery (realise I'm not everyones favourite person ;-)) I've managed to consolidate most of my debt through a loan from my parents and I'm well on the way to saving towards my wedding in 2012!
I remember reading a lot of friends facebook status' in 2010 saying how they had such a bad year and couldn't wait until 2011 - at this point I thought they were mad and that life was rosey (how wrong was I). Now I can't wait until 2011 is over and looking forward to 2012!I work in Council Tax recovery, any views are purely my own based on the information supplied.0
