My work programme provider has so many people attending Ive been informed they may be doing group appointments where you do a job search as a group.
thats what I have to start doing from next week. I've had 3 one on one appointments with an advisor, each one has been nothing but a form filling exercise. He did manage to get me on a course I was trying to get on but apart from that I've been offered no help. This is because I don't need any of the help they offer, I'm considered to be job ready, my cv is fine, my job searching skills are fine, my maths and English are fine (despite being dyslexic!) so now all the paperwork is done all they can do with me is call me into their offices to do jobsearch on their computers.

I'll be looking at exactly the same job sites as I do daily at home the only difference is it will cost me £4 in bus fare and I'll be using their electricity rather than mine lol

    'A DOUBT HAS RISEN'

and a month later he got another letter saying everything is fine

(probs because they dont have enough grounds to sanction him lol)

they tried to get him to sign some form (WP related I think)

:mad::mad::mad: no one told me that, As I said I've had 3 appointments all on non signing on days so some weeks I've had to pull out 2 lots of bus fares.

I'll ask about it when I go for the job search appointment.

you would have been told you can claim fares when you went to the WP first if its not in walking distance. My WP is 7 miles away

they can't expect you to go to any site other than where you sign on unless fares are refunded

I'll ask about it next week, not that I should have to, it's humiliating enough going to the Wp without having to go begging too :(

Seriously do not be embarrassed to ask for the travel. You may not get it backdated but keep bus tickets etc and show that when you get there. You can even now claim travel to interviews from the WP as when I started mine I was asked what help did I need and as I was rated work ready and there was no other help they could give me I said I needed help with travel to interviews and they said they could pay those. Sometimes in advance if you have emails or proof you are going to an interview or after if you produce your tube/bus tickets etc & contact details of the company you have been too etc

Seriously ask and do not feel ashamed to do so.
