Yes! this is so true, when I asked questions they look so uneasy and so shocked that someone actually asked questions and not just sign here, ok good, see you next time.
My questions were to the Chris Grayling MP and Iain Duncan Smith MP, not the WP but I have asked them a lot too and have an offical complaint with them.

What should I have said no to? Going there? That's all I do so I can't say no to that as there is nothing else I am doing or been asked to do.
i am just pointing out it is usually when people start showing resistance that they threaten them with sanctions.

Been on WP for 2 weeks now and i have had 2 appointments with my advisor, now i am not to see him for another month, thought this was supposed to be intensive help to find work. They are supposed to be getting in contact with me sometime next week to tell me if i have got on a job induction with an agency.

I don't hold up much hope that happening so come monday i will ring the agency myself and sort it.
it is basically a glorified jobclub. how often they see you will be affected by how many people their facilities can handle, how many people are being refered and how many are leaving the course.

What are the requirements of the 'course' then? I can't get anyone to tell me that.
very little i think. i think they are allowed to do things as they see fit.

this is frankly a load of !!!!

i saw a post by someone i know works for a provider who said recently the target had been lowered to 20% and they werent confident about achieving it.
regarding that bloke who is demoralised well its obvious that anything that has you there due to threats isnt going to promote the bast state of mind.

What is it I have already experienced?

How can they match anyone to jobs? They are not recruitment agencies
i think they are supposed to contact companies and ask them if they are willing to consider people on the programme. on new deal they were able to send people to work for free for 6 months without there having to be a job there. back then there was no shortage of companies willing to take people. now that they cant get people for 6 months for free they arent interested. this just proves what their motives really were. this is something a benefit basher refuses to accept.
  • What it is looking like to me is glorified babysitting club where you do your two hours supervised Job search where they can no doubt see your IP No etc then you !!!!!! off.
One can do this at home and save the taxpayers money and get the money redirected into ACTUAL HELP THAT CREATES GENUINE SUSTAINABLE CAREER BASED EMPLOYMENT ESPECIALLY FOR THOSE WHO ARE MOST IN DANGER OF PARKING AND CREAMING OFF THE DISABLED MENTALLY ILL .
ITS A MONEY SPINNER FOR WELFARE TO WORK PROVIDERS WHO PAY DECENT SALARIES? TO THEIR EMPLOYEES WITH SPECIFIC TARGETS TO MEET.

just look at it this way. would you rather they wasted 1hr+?

I was expecting more help from my advisor, as Im not classed as "job ready" so I thought she might have more intensive plans for me. What exactly, I dont know, but I suspect because Im off to college anyway, she isnt really too bothered to be honest!

It is not about working for free it's about getting a job and like I have said on here before I was asked to write a list of companies I wanted to work for (oh yes I did tell them anyone!) where they had this list for TEN weeks and did nothing with it till I chased them three times asking what was happening and they then said they didnt realise I was looking for accounts work nor did the person who was doing all this calling have a copy of my CV!! After waiting for 6 weeks with nothing heard I contacted all the companies on my list I had given the WP and heard back from a few where they have kept my CV on file so when I went back to the WP the other week I was told there was nothing now they could do with the list since I did their job for them so I said 'do you want another list, I have 30 more companies', to which the reply was 'no we have far too many lists to look at'!! LOL

They aren't doing anything for me then (yet certain people on here say it's all my fault as they have no idea what we are dealing with here)
