The work programme is nothing more than masked unemployment.
All those so called "advisors" working for these private companies are doing nothing but sitting on their backsides all day threatening people with sanctions. They have no proper jobs or training to offer them, and this pathetic Government would rather squander millions of taxpayers money on the likes of Emma Harrison/A4E and the other parasites taking part in this programme, rather than putting the money into creating proper jobs.
Work Programme providers are paid fortunes for setting up offices and employing people to treat those who havent been as fortunate in gaining such cushy jobs, like naughty school children.
The whole thing is a farce, and Donkey Smith and Grayling can keep burying their heads in the sand until the whole ridiculous chaotic waste of time/money collapses around them. I give it till the end of the year (just to be generous).

What a total waste off money, when you also add in the travel expenses for all these people attending appointments.
there is a provider in my town and i know people from my town who have been sent to a provider in a different town. that means higher travel costs to reimburse. i wonder what the idiots who support these schemes think of that.

Another waste off time at my WP appointment today, a mere 15mins after a 16mile round trip. My advisor said she was so busy cramming in all her "clients" all 350 of them!!!! I dread to think how many "clients" my old advisor had, as he passed me over to her as he couldn't handle the amount off people he had to see!!
just look at it this way. would you rather they wasted 1hr+?

Well I don't know, I am on it!

    Who told you that then?

Oh yes thats it, its for time wasting and nothing at all to do with gettting a job or helping you to get a job/interview! Fact!
they can send people on placements if they choose to but it is not a stipulated requirement of the course.

What should I have said no to? Going there? That's all I do so I can't say no to that as there is nothing else I am doing or been asked to do.

Been on WP for 2 weeks now and i have had 2 appointments with my advisor, now i am not to see him for another month, thought this was supposed to be intensive help to find work. They are supposed to be getting in contact with me sometime next week to tell me if i have got on a job induction with an agency.

I don't hold up much hope that happening so come monday i will ring the agency myself and sort it.

What are the requirements of the 'course' then? I can't get anyone to tell me that.
