  • Great so i've just got back from the Job Centre and i have to go in tomorrow to sign, followed by 3 times next week tue/wed/thurs.

Great and the point of this is ?

Plus a new direction to get some feedback from a application that has failed and why it failed etc.
  • I'm sure employers are going to love all this, lots of people ringing/emailing (reluctantly too) asking why they didn't get the job

I always chase for feedback and I have given the emails to the JC in the past before I started the WP and they didn't want to know and said 'nothing we can do about it'

i see the government has got another good way of saving money. they are going to make everyone sign on weekly. lol. also when a job ends instead of waiting 3 days to get jsa you will wait 7 days. so goodluck to them when it comes to persuading people to take temporary jobs. take a 4 week job and get rewarded with a 1 week sanction when you sign on again.
apparently the wp is at risk of being scrapped. they will just replace it with something similar with a different name.

Replace the Work Programme with the 'We can't help you and do not give a !!!! programme'!

yeah they have a little book similar to the normasl sighn on one, when she said you have to come in everyday i said i read that people who live over 2 miles only have to come in twice a week dont they? she said no everyone has to come in everyday, id like to find out cuz i read somewhere else that if you live closer than 2 miles they can ask everyday but if over 4 miles only once per week, i live 3.4 miles away.

how can i find out the rules to make sure they are sticking to them?

and yes they do give you youre travel fair mate, if you go by car you get an allowence paid into your bank if bus then bus pass

i dont live too far away from the jobcentre so it wouldnt really bother me having to do a jobsearch there everyday. it would only be an issue if i have other things to do. for example i do voluntary work, i go away for long weekends fellwalking.
do you have to queue up to use a job point? i imagine the queues will be massive if they start mandating people to use them everyday.
