Well I had a phonecall from my provider on friday afternoon asking why I hadn't turned up for my catch up meeting that morning, she sounded rather narked when I told her that the jobcentre confirmed I need not attend as I only sign for NI credits only. And she said I was mandated to go in which my reply was I cannot be mandated to attend as I only sign for NI credits and then asked why I sign for credits only! I answered because a change of circumstances.

She did say that she would be contacting the jobcentre to confirm everything I had said was true. Still waiting for her to get back to me on that one.

Although I can see a battle coming I will stand my ground and I refuse to go in to the providers office again.

Your JC have enough staff to see people for 45 mins? The WP only see me for 5 if that
the wp have 30 mins for us but will let us go before that when everything they need to do is done. i cant see the jobcentre keeping people there for 45 minutes. that is definitely designed to scare people. it will be 30 mins max.
dont forget people to include the time used up to see your adviser at the jobcentre if they say you must spend a minimum number of hours per week doing jobsearching activity that includes journey time as well. also include the time used up to sign on each fortnight. just put it down as visited the jobcentre if they get narky about you putting down signed on and it took 2 hours.

If she rings ask her why she thinks you're lying, when you have nothing to lose or gain. - Before you tell her you won't be going in.
  • They can kiss it if they think im going in daily, whats the point of that i do unpaid work on Mondays and Wednesdays and they need me badly to help out at the office.

I know this will probably be an intense period of bullying for the Work Programme returners ?

I believe I will be there no longer than 10 mins.

When I signed on week one and then the next saw an adviser when I was out of work 6 mths to 1 year I was there no longer than 10 mins. They just said 'there is nothing we can do' How will this change now?

if you mention your voluntary work they may well let you continue with it. if they dont get the manager where you volunteer to contact the manager at the jobcentre to complain.

Like I have said when I sign I have to wait and I sign at 9am - they have SEVEN WP signing points that sing all day , 5 days a week and I cant see that for 45 mins they are going to see only one person!! In on day they will only see 8 people max

It takes them 1 hour to sign 8 people at present lol

I just had the interview from hell with 2 women telling me I need to take a cleaning job if I'm offered it as I'm making barriers to find work

I said I can't live off that money in London and they said get tax credits

Of course they have all the power so nothing I said was even considered

it was incredibly unpleasant and it was meant to be

I just to warn anyone who they do this to - try not to argue! - they were definitely trying to antagonise me into saying something incriminating so they could use it as proof that I'm not accepting work

my dole days are over :(

I have to go in tomorrow and I know some dip stick will sit me at a computer and make me apply for every sh*t slave labour job going and wait for me to object so they can stop my money

they can make you apply to any job they like but they CAN NOT make the interviewer give you and interview that's where they are going to fail like they always have as they have no power over companies
