ooh, dont say the work programme has failed. according to my adviser people who say that dont do much to look for work.
That's !!!!!!!! as I have been told they can not help me and I apply for 40+ a week and left to my own devices really apart from an interview technique class where I was asked if I wanted to take the class!!!! LOL

they said something along the lines of people who spend plenty of time on the net moaning about it tend to not be doing much because when i look at their records they usually havent done much.

There are at least 500 people coming off it from my WP provider and they wont have any jobs of any sort for people to do and that again still does not address the issue of getting a job

    The WP has failed

I'm probably the exception because I found a job through the WP believe it or not. I agree that in the majority of cases, WP has been ineffective. My WP advisor has been not very helpful post-employment as I took a job I wasn't 100% keen on but my circumstances dictated otherwise (he said he'll send weekly emails with the latest vacancies, never did). I might have found a job I'm more comfortable in now but I had to do the hard graft myself whilst working.

    Hope you find something soon.

@donnajunkie: How long have you been out of work?
do you have a good reason to ask that other than a benefit bashing one? this thread is for talking about issues related to experiences on the work programme. how long any of us have been out of work is not relevant.

once you are in work all they care about is you staying in work. they dont care if you are happy in your job.

Not at all. My JCP advisor said the WP was for 2 years, I was wondering if you were still on it and if there's a cooling off period after the two years had lapsed. One thing different with this programme is the constant hassling you get from their aftercare team who call every other week. I wanted to know if they can do that after two years had gone since someone started on the programme. Apologies if I offended you in anyway.

When you say "leave", will you be assigned to another WP provider or return to stage one of signing on? At my provider, they didn't have anything in admin/business/finance so yeah I can't disagree there.

my two years on the WP are up no idea what happens next

What do you mean didn't have anything? As in jobs? They employ BDC managers to go out and find jobs for EVERYONE

I mean the advisors who are meant to be the professionals have no background in finance or accounts or banking etc

They have no idea what it even is I did
