They 'can' or they 'will' are two different things and I am guessing people who have references, a good CV and had a career wont be sent to work in a charity shop as shops here have over a 4 year wait list and they have not enough places to fill with the people coming off the WP at all.
There was at least 60 people at my WP yesterday and if they all ended tomorrow where would they go? Not 50 charities in the area.
Besides they need to tell us HOW this will help anyone get a job!
regarding how workfare will help anyone get a job. their answer will be it gives you recent work experience.0 -

In case they found them a better job? Was the poster in a full time job? Maybe they don't get paid for a contract role etc

So work experience in a charity shop or Poundland is very relevant for accounts people!!!0

I have been told I am doing more than anyone
They say MOST people ONLY LOOK for work ONE DAY A WEEK and the homework for everyone now is look at least FOUR times a week!
I said I do 7 days a week and they scrubbed it off my homework as they did to the one saying keep a job log as I email mine in like that have told me to do but they cant seem to remember that at all and change their minds like the windWe’ve had to remove your signature. No one in accounts will look at a CV saying I have worked in a charity shop. I know I wouldn't and I have hired. Your new experience will be not even be relevant! We’ve had to remove your signature. This is the problem with the system, none of it really matters to anyone running it, except looking after their jobs, covering their backs, meeting targets.0 -
It doesn't really matter to anyone in DWP/Jobcentre where you go or whether it's relevant to you.

Maybe get the MP on board too who hates all the WP etcWe’ve had to remove your signature. Please check the Forum Rules if you’re unsure why it’s been removed and, if still unsure, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
