keep an eye out when its near to the end then. with virgin the phone line rental alone is about £16 i think. so another £12 for broadband isnt bad. theres no slow down the further you are from an exchange like with other providers. the cheapest is upto 10mb and i believe it is going to be tripled by the end of the year.Well £28 with no calls is outrageous.
Like I say I can't get out of my contract as I have to pay to get out at £14 per month that's left of it. I do not have £126 to get out of it.0 -
You are on pay as you go mobile?I definitely only pay £21, the dd came out of my account today, it was £21.37 *confused*
Oh and unlimited bb.
Edit, ah I know why. I get a discount for having an o2 mobile. I forgot about that just been to check my bill to see what packaged I'm on and thats when I saw the discount. Oh well it was worth a try.0 -
no contract (my daughters boyfriend works for O2 and he got me a cracking deal on my contract it worked out cheaper than PAYG) but you can still get the discount if you have a O2 mobile as long as you top up by £10 every 3 months. My FIL gets his discount each month by doing exactly that. You are on pay as you go mobile?0 -

I am not bothered about speed you have to be worried about max uploads as if you are sending CV's and references to people all the time it takes a big portion of your allowance.0 -

Sending CV's etc won't take up as much as watching videos on Youtube, downloading music, etc.I am not bothered about speed you have to be worried about max uploads as if you are sending CV's and references to people all the time it takes a big portion of your allowance.Wanted a job, now have one. :beer:0 -

Have you considered BT Basic for cheap line rental if you don't really use home phone, you qualify on Income Based JSA. You pay £14.40 every 3 months, you get roughly £5 call allowance for 3 months and some free calls at weekends and you can put broadband on top.0
