If you really feel that low then maybe you should talk things through with the G.P. or the Samaritans or something.
Have you any interests which can make you feel a bit better?
Alive - bills to pay , no life, no nothing
dead - all the above gone haha
I do not know how people live a life on the dole forever.
I do not know how you are meant to feel happy!!
I am not depressed its just life.0 -

I understand where you are coming from, i get the feeling every now and again but those things can be there either if you are in work or unemployed. Some people learn to manage and play the system like if you are long term unemployed they go on the sick with depression.0 -
I was very depressed when I was in my last job, I cant even attempt to tell you how much. I used to feel like I had been thumped in the chest all the time and I used to wish I was dead etc.
Its only now after getting better from what I now know was severe clinical depression that I wished I had got help from the Doctor at the time. At the time I just thought it was normal to feel that dreadfull everyday when you hated your job.
What Im saying is that it is possible to be more depressed than you assess yourself to be.
Also no matter how bleak things appear- and I know its bad, just having little things to look forward to can make things a bit better. I have a boat and a bike and I go out with my friends.0 -
I'm in a dilemma. I have a holiday booked and paid for for next week My old work have called and offered some work, they were offering it to everyone they have laid off recently, they said I couldn't have the time off or start after holiday as there might not/probably not be work after the 18th. I said yes at first as thought I could cancel holiday, turns out I can't. So I would be going back for 8 days by the looks of things. Having to sign off and loads of hassle. OH is seriously p***** at me as was very looking forward to holiday, Mother is p***** at the way they are treating me, both are p***** at them for obviously using me so they can avoid having to interview people etc. They are well known for hiring and firing and VERY high turnover, people start and get laid off not soon after. They laid off some people when I was there after an hour! So I have no idea what to do now. I don't really want to go back at all, was just thinking of the money but now it seems like I am going to lose out more by going back. Last time I worked there I had a holiday booked at the beginning and they let me have the 5 days off no problem. I think I am going to have to tell them no.0

I was in the work programme, then I got a temp job for 6 months, the job then ended due to no work, so the Job Centre referred me straight back. If you get a job and lose it within the 2 years you sign up for you go straight back to WP, JCP still want nothing to do with you! I went in the Work Programme in August I think, got the job in November, laid off for 3 weeks in January, went back end of January and laid off beginning of May. Signed on first time 2 weeks ago, they called me in the Monday after that to tell me referred back to Work Programme.0

The worst thing about it was that I signed on on the Friday and she said You have an appointment on Monday with an adviser to discuss your needs etc. All it was was a piece of paper and he said we've referred you back to WP, sign this, we're all done, it took 1 minute. I said couldn't I have done this Friday, he said well no you couldn't.. I hate that place!0

I don't like it but I don't dislike it either. Luckily I haven't encountered any problems and have no reason to dislike it, the advisers have been friendly and helpful but I do think it is a terrible waste of money, a waste of my time and I don't agree with a lot of it. I am capable of doing a job search at home, I could check in with her over the phone/email instead of physically having to waste a day getting to their office etc.0
