Just the MWRA contract though, nothing big like the other 10 or so contracts they have. Weird how they're a risk in only one scheme. Are they still going to do the bulk of the Work Programme?
In other news, someone at CDG finally picked up and I'll get my appointment via the post. Looking forward to some much-needed help to get back to work.0 -
Advice Needed:
Before proceeding I didn't sign the Data Waiver or Information Disclosure documents.
What if any, are the legal implications for a work provider to contact an employer who you have an interview with and gain the complete list of all people attending the interview? Who is in the wrong here, provider or prospective employer?
My work provider done this and admitted it. Asked and attained the complete list of all people attending the interview to see if any matched up with people on his watch under the Work Programme.
Has the Data Protection Act/or any other being broken here?
Thanks

Update from my provider:
From the next appointment no travel will be paid out before 11am and only between 11am and 12pm. I asked when do I get my money then as I am leaving now (12 mins after I arrived). The reply was 'you are all meant to be doing a job search' to which I replied 'I have never been told that and I have nothing of the sort in writting and if that was the case why wait till now to put it into practise? The reply was 'we have been slack'! LOL
I went home and emailed the manager my concerns about searching online (and being made to stay till 11am) when I am looking up to 2am in the morning so not sure what they think I can find at 9am and that they only want 5 job applications from me but I can provide at least 50 a week. I also said I was not 100% happy logging in to my accounts and not having access to my CV file, references and email account on their PC's.
Well cut a long story short they replied and said I would be exempt from this and the main reason the travel is not going to be paid till 11am as the person in charge of the petty cash doesn't want to be stopped 100 times for money during the day! See damned laziness if you ask me and blackmailing people to stay to get their £. If you have an appointment at 10.45 you wouldnt need to stay but if you are there at 9am or 9.15am you have hours to wait for your money.
I asked about courses and they said I could look online at a certain site and if there was funding I could do Excel (I am intermediate already) and when I asked if it was advanced I was told 'no' and I said well I am intermediate already so what use is that. They giggled and said 'erm no point you doing it then'!
It really is a joke!!0
