  • Thank you for all the kind suggestions.
Another question - is lingerie a present regarded as being for him or her? I've always been quite ambivalent about this point IYKWIM.

Depends who's buying it in my view - if I buy it because I want to treat myself to some nice new underwear then it's for me, if he buys it or I buy it because it's something he'll like then it's for him. My reasons for buying may occasionally overlap, as in that I will buy something a bit more to his tastes because I also like it, but I wouldn't buy something that he'd love and I'd hate or find uncomfortable just because he liked it!

That said because he doesn't understand that sizes vary between shops and brands - after a disaster with a ridiculously tight bra - he says that all decisions on him buying me underwear have to be made together...

I feel like a Scrooge, you have all spent about my total Christmas budget on your OHs!!

I have bought him something off his Amazon list, it's for his phone I have no idea what it is lol, and a big box of chocolate fingers from Staples.

OH is going to have an eclectic Xmas present pile this year. He's getting whatever I found on offer or on a glitch. :rotfl:

Our situation is a bit dodgy at the moment so we don't want to spend loads of money, but it never feels right to just not give anything. I hope he likes his 75% off light up reindeer. :rotfl:

(Just kidding about the reindeer. :D)

Fleece/jumper kind of top from M&S
    Casual shirt
(he hates shopping so I do most of it for him)

Wash bag for his holidays (old one knackered)
Full set of Harry Potter blu ray discs (he loves HP and has all the other ones, but this is full set which is better and we have blu ray player now and not a single blu ray disc!!)
    2 of his favourite chocolates

He got big present for his Bday which was recently that is covering Bday&Xmas due to the expense, so he is only getting smaller presents for Xmas.

I got OH some speakers that i've had my ear on for over a year. Got them on amazon black friday for 33% off, cheapest I've seen. I did use his money to pay though :p:rotfl: so he might not want to keep them.

  • He plays World of Warcraft so I'm making him a gamer hamper with a game card for pre paid play, a WOW hoodie, a new mouse and headphones for his computer and energy drinks based on the potions in the game. Try a gift based on your OH's hobbies. Also I'm going to give him a Family Guy Christmas DVD we can watch together (fun and only a fiver) and a pair of Christmas pants as a joke gift.

Can I ask if you got any of his WoW stuff on the high street? :D
  • Some people have brought so much, I feel guilty. I got him a PS3 game and some rocks to cool whiskey down.

If it helps, thus far, all I've got for him is a foot tall candy cane. It amused me for some inexplicable reason.
