I contributed towards his new laptop.

Oh, and I have a box of nice chocs to wrap and put under the tree as a surprise and so that he has something to open on the day.

TBH though, it's quite personal and depends on what your OH likes and what budget you have. So - what hobbies does he have, and what is your budget?

I don't think it'll help you, but I bought my OH a wireless keyboard as he's been after one for ages. Also got him some fudge and Christmas marmalade so he had more to unwrap.

(when I'm really stuck for a present and can't think of anything I get him a really nice bottle of single malt whisky)
  • I got mine a super-duper coffee machine and a model plane! I blew the budget on the coffee machine but he's worth it! Good luck!

A few bits and pieces from the football club he supports, including this year's shirt and four CDs he's been after for a while - they are only available on import and two haven't turned up yet.

A personalised mug and Givenchy Pi aftershave.

He's a mature Uni student and has just done his thesis on Phi - the golden ratio - so I thought that Pi aftershave would be a good idea. :D
