Beth - I live between Wokingham and Reading in Twyfordwhat a small world.
Wow Bramble it is a small world, I used to work in Twyford in the firework factory....... until I got the sack for smoking. I was in a hut with another woman in the middle of a field working at filling bangers with gunpowder. Didn't think, at the age of 15, that it would light without the blue touch paper. The woman ran out and the next thing I heard was a loud hailer telling me to get out and don't put my cigarette out on the floor. I shudder whenever I think about it

Awww, that sounds really miserable. Having lived on liquids for 3 months when my jaw was broken (mid 1980s) I can fully sympathise.
Fridge and freezer emptied cleaned and put back, we are haviing some funny meals this week to use bits up, luckily OH will eat anything, I need to get some rubber gloves before I finish the oven as my hands are so sore from being in water and scrubbing.
Flutterby if it was me, I'd use up stuff from the store cupboard, on the basis that it's less stuff to have to take with you. HTH:oIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Evening ladies, I'm late this evening aren't I? Not been a great day as a huge family fall out means that my mood is now at rock bottom and having only just come to terms with the fact that Christmas will be OK, I'm now dreading it again and wil possily be a miserable moo until New Year.
Yesterday was a long day, hospital and IV were fine and the lovely helper people had mince pies and Stollen to go with the cup of tea, which was much appreciated. I went over to Boots as planned and got my Soap and Glory set and some new false nails and then home to potter the rest of the day. So it wasn't a NSD but not far off. Then we had visitors bang on team time and then had visiting to do ourselves but at least there's only one lot of visiting to do now, which can't happen until Friday as I have to take mince pies and Christmas cupcakes.
This morning I was up early to go and test some Boots products and got a £5 Boots GV as a reward which I've put away for now. Came home to 3 parcels with more test prodcts in; face wash, eye make up remover and gel eyeliner. One of them was the parcel which RM 'lost' so not much time to test that one before the deadline but at least I have it now.
Breakfast today was an apple, walnut Christmassy muffin (HM) and lunch was yesterdays LO dinner - pea soup (HM) with Cheese and Onion Bread (HM). Dinner tonight I don't know as I'm all at odds with the family upset floating around and I haven't had time to think.
Popped up to the allotment for half an hour, mainly to womble some firewood and calm down which was nice and relaxing although the flat tyre on the wheelbarrow made things far harder than they needed to be.
Oh yes, been working today too. 11 days left. They can't go by quick enough I tell you! I'm not even bothered about the money now - I just want to leave.
Not sure if I'll get to the end of today being a NSD because if MrS suggests a takeaway or eating out I'll agree. So tired and down its untrue. Perhaps I shoul drefuse as I ma be grouchy and ruin it anyway
2 eggs today from the girls :T They are getting god at this egg laying malarky now0 -

Hiya everyone
I THINK I have finished wrapping stuff, well it will have to be as going back down south tomorrow!
annoyed that the 2 little torches (disney princesses) that I got for DGDs when I put batteries in and closed them up they split, could understand if maybe I was heavy handed with the 1st but was so careful with the 2nd, oh well, won't put them in their stockings, will give to DD and if she thinks ok so be it, if not they will join the rest of the junk stuff we chuck out over xmas!
Had a bit of a wobble today, Pensions service sent me a cheque in respect of 2 weeks owed to my dad, went to post office and lady just gave me money, didn't ask for ID got the money and promptly burst into tears, no one took any notice though.
Got workmate coming round tonight, we do craft fortnightly and are a bit behind as she needs some stuff doing for her 40th which is just after xmas, am looking forward to it, her DD comes as well and makes a right good cup of rosie so have got her an xmas pressie as a thank you.
I know there are lots going through so much at the moment, so am sending good thoughts and hugs for you all, will remember you in my evening candle tonight.

Evening all
I didn't get home til 4.15, so only 15mins earlier than normal! so much for a half day. But the Navy girl I met seemed really nice and apologised over the mix up, so that's a good sign.
I am still exhausted but decided to do some tidying and sorting rather than just crash out, but will definitely be getting an early night. I'm going to try shift some things round and try take a half or full day of Thurs instead.
For dinner I had a Loyd Grosman Tomato & Chilli pasta sauce over pasta. I have never had a shop bought pasta sauce before, and will never again! It was bland and tasteless. I didn't actually buy this one, I had voucher for free one so thought I'd try it. The RRP is £1.50! I could make it myself for less than half of that! However like a good OSer I made 2 spare portions of pasta so have lunches sorted for the rest of the week, even if it is bland :rotfl:
Ooh this morning with work we went to visit a school for a possible project, and they had a little 'farm' area with chickens and ducks. And i had the sudden realisation that I will have a garden soon so could potentially have chickens
Have a good evening all

Just about to make my cheese and pineapple crocodile and sausage hedgehog for work tomorrow. Will it keep till mid morning if i make it now? don't want to be rushing tomorrow. AND my sausage rolls didn't brown, is that because i used milk instead of egg for the wash?Annual Grocery Budget £364.00/£1500

The cheese and pineapple bits should be fine (not sure on the sausage as I'm veggie!). I always make cheese n pineapple the night before, just store in a tub or wrap whole thing in tin foil/clingfilm and pop in fridge.
Glad you can eat now!

Thanks FB - I figured they should be fine, as most party foods people must prepare the night before the event.
