When I was a child we lived about a 5 min walk from Blackbush market, we used to go there regularly :D

Fridge and freezer emptied cleaned and put back, we are haviing some funny meals this week to use bits up, luckily OH will eat anything, I need to get some rubber gloves before I finish the oven as my hands are so sore from being in water and scrubbing.

Written shopping list for tomorrow, need to visit 3 different shops for the best prices :money:.

DD has gone into town with her bestie, I gave her some money and asked her to get me 2 Cath Kidston mugs :o, and I have also ordered a sample of her wallpaper which I would love in our bedroom.

Had a long chat with my brother, who is still living with mum, up to now he has been at his Ex's beck and call and she is really taking the p**s, telling him he wont see the children if he doesn't do what she says , he is toughining up now though :T, she also told him she had bought him a new mobile for Xmas, turns out she has taken out a contract phone, cos she gets a free TV with it, and expects brother to pay £20 per month for 2 years for the pleasure !!

Anyhoo, back to cleaning, have fun all xx

yes the more the merrier :T does help if you are a bit mad though :D
  • I was hoping to go home now but I was meant to have a meeting with a woman from the Navy who is being seconded to my work in the New Year at 10am today but she didn't turn up , finally got through to her on the phone and she thought it was at 2pm so is on her way in now. Grrr. Hopefully I can escape at half 2. I've not had lunch cos I was planning on going home for it.

Also I can't do any proper work that I need to cos the top office with our printer/copy in is locked and I left my set of keys at home and so did my colleague :rotfl: we had to get the caretaker to open the main door and luckily my office door was on the latch!

I just want to collapse in bed!

(((hugs))) to those who are having such a difficult time. I've been reading daily but not always posting. Candle lit for friend's littlie Moorhen.
Quiet day here - day 2 of my hols and I'm enjoying it.
Need to go to library to pick up a book I ordered, get a b/day card for DH for Thurs and some tatties and neeps to go with.....haggis pie for tea. Made by Bells. It's like a mince round - ah, it's called a haggis round when I think about it.
Wrapped the selection boxes for kids (youngest kid 17, oldest 27:p) - got small Cadburrry ones for buy one get 2 free at M0rrisons last week or so. Also wrapped present for 2 of kids' partners. That's all i've got so far. Small present for DH still to arrive. Will get small things for rest later this week. We're doing a down-scaled Christmas this yr. DD's idea and it has sooo taken the pressure off without taking off any nice thoughts of Christmas time.
Glad that the weather has warmed up a bit for families travelling. Was at airport yesterday to see DD off to her dad's and it was lovely watching people come through arrivals and being met by family and friends(we were so early that check-in hadn't opened (!!) so had a coffee beside arrivals!).

Have a good day folks. I'm off to make a sandwich - brie and rasp jam as no cranberry.

  • A question for you ladies (and any gents lurking!).....I probably have enough food in my cupboards/freezer to last me til I move mid Jan, bar fresh fruit/veg/cheese/eggs. Should I eat it all up to save moving it all to the new place? Or should I do a mini shop and leave some of my storecupboard intact to take with me to the new place?

I'm talking mainly about things like tinned tomatoes, beans, canned beans, pasta, rice, noodles. (I moved here with 4 big bags of pasta, and still have 3 unopened!! :o :rotfl:). Obviously things like flours/spices/condiments won't get used up
