50 mph Average Speed Cameras

Do you do 70 by the speedo in lane 3 normally then and stop anyone wanting to go by at 80?Yes it is, they are using a road system that is for everybody and if they deliberately drive in a manner that could endanger myself then I would continue to drive in a lawful manner and if it upsets Jensen Button behind me then tough titty.
The question is, what special dispensation do your like have for speeding and possibly endangering other road users?0 -

I drive and adhere to speed limits, (or adjust my driving for the conditions which maybe even slower than the limits), if some burk behind me gets annoyed then I couldn't give a rat's !!!!!.
If somebody wanted to barge past me in a supermarket, gesturing with the middle finger and shouting abuse at me I'd give him a real good slap.
What makes you think he can do this from the safety of a car?
Why do you think I'd politely just jump out of his way?0 -

So you ignore the highway code - what a pig ignorant fool, perhaps you should read it sometime to give you a clue how to drive. PS the highway code does not apply to supermarkets. The truth may be out there, but the lies are inside your head. Terry Pratchett

Maybe that's just due to the amount of traffic on the road, but still no where near the 38 miles you'd need though.0 -

I don't understand your logic at all. You say you block people to make the roads safer, I suspect the opposite is true - creates tailgating, increases frustration in other drivers, and probably results in undertaking. I would imagine your actions are far more likely to create a dangerous situation on the road than someone driving at 80mph.
I don't speed but if someone wants to go faster than me I have no issue letting them past.0 -
No-one should be assuming that their speedo is 100% accurate. No-one should be telling everyone that ALL speedos over-read by 10% - that's just a legal maximum (and they're not allowed to under read at all).
All you sat-nav junkies need to pipe down too - it's pretty good at telling you the speed, but it's not foolproof.
Stop obsessing over a few mph, and watch the road. Don't obstruct people.
How about everyone drives on the left, and at or below the speed limit? You can use the outside lane if you want to overtake or turn right - does that sound like a good system?
Average speed cameras? Didn't Jeremy Clarkson say you could do 100 mph and have a coffee break in the middle?!
Shipshape - I do hope you're driving in the left hand lane and not blocking people on purpose - what if your speedo is wrong?!0 -
I'll always do an indicated 50mph (in the correct lane). If someone gets stuck behind me it's not my fault. As far as I'm concerned I'm doing the maximum speed for that stretch of road.

You're obviously a very confused individual.
Scenario-if I am in the 3rd lane of an M-way it is because I am overtaking cars in the 2nd lane.
If I am not overtaking any vehicle then I always pull over to the left, even into the 1st lane if it is clear.
I do not hog 2nd or 3rd lanes.
However, if I am in the 3rd lane at, or close to, the speed limit overtaking then I'm not going to just pull over to another lane because some aggressive turd behind me wants to go at 80 or 90mph without my finishing my, totally legal, manoeuvre.
I am driving correctly and the sap behind me should learn to drive correctly or get off the road for good.
Don't tell me how to drive, in 25 years I have driven some 1 million miles without ever receiving a speeding ticket, a parking fine or been the cause of an accident.
I know that I am an excellent driver as not only my record proves this but I also attained IAM membership in 2002.0 -

My speedo is correct, I don't drive a crap car.
If I am blocking somebody in the 3rd lane then tough titty.
I would be in the 3rd lane in the first place to overtake and I would be driving at or close to the speed limit.
No numpty is going to intimidate me to get out of the way for them to drive unlawfully when I am already driving at the max allowed until I finish what I am doing.
No law or guidance in the highway code will say I am wrong so I'm not having it from virtual Jensen Buttons on here who have crappy sales jobs who are in a hurry to sell their dusters.0 -

Far from it, they take no correction for terrain, its further up and down a hill than a straight line, sat navs are a flat earth speed measuring system and take averages based on gps position.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature.
