I would never try and convince your 8 year old of anything. Perhaps you should take it less personally that some people do not believe in the supernatural.

No not angry

Frustrated I guess when peoples beliefs are belittled. I'm not trying to say that what I believe is right as I cannot physically prove it to anyone and those who don't believe cannot prove it either but get very defensive when challenged.

I could give you a few example of evidence that would convince me that ghosts exist.

What sort of evidence would satisfy you that ghosts don't exist?

I'm not being defensive, I'm asking in the spirit (phnarr) of open debate.

you can't quite simply as I have experienced things throughout the course of my life.

I don't think it would be possible to 'prove' they don't exist as I don't think it possible to prove they do exist.

There will always be people who think there's a scientific explanation, photo shopping of photo's or setups with video's. The only thing I would personally like is for others not to ridicule and pass it off as dreams, hallucinations or medication side effects lol.

I think most people who don't currently believe in ghosts would change their mind if there was a huge weight of evidence to say that they did exist. I certainly would.

For what its worth, I certainly don't think that saying something could be a hallucination or a dream is 'passing it off' or derogatory, I certainly would never mean it to be. If you refuse to at least concede that in some cases its a possibility, then you're as dogmatic as the people you criticise. Saying something is photoshopped or staged is a different thing.

Well, there sort of is a huge weight of scientific evidence to say that the supernatural doesn't exist. As in, its been attempted to prove it many many times and not been possible.

oh no no no I haven't explained myself properly (2 days before xmas and watching Willy Wonka, very distracting lol)

I do acknowledge the possibilities of hallucinations etc. I just don't think it can all be explained as such!
