  • Hi there, I've just had some bad news too. What a day this is turning out to be. My cousin, who I last saw at my parents' Golden Wedding party in August, has just been diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. He is only 39. He is such a lovely man, a really family man who has 2 young children. We chatted for ages at my parents' party and he never mentioned he was even being tested for this. That's the kind of guy he is.

Think I will be glad to put today to bed. bye all. x

I have some nice baby news though. DD came to visit me this afternoon, and she is looking blooming. Her bump is so big now her belly button is being pushed out and she got the results back from the down syndrome test and she is low risk. She looks so well and we had a lovely chat and a snuggle on the sofa together watching a funny movie. She's got her second scan tomorrow but she doesn't want to know what it is :) The due date is 4 days before DD2's birthday so I'm hoping she doesn't go over!

  • So sorry to read all the sad news in the thread today - hugs to all who need them. I am about to go to bed with a cup of hot chocolate and a Jane Austin (Emma). I am full of cold and in need of a very early night!
Yesterday was such a lovely day - I spent the afternoon on the allotment. It was so warm, I was in my t shirt doing the digging. DS was playing in the mud and the birds were singing. Came home tired, muddy and happy to a stew that had been bubbling in the SC all day. Don't you just love weekends! Oh well, only 4 days till the next one!:rotfl:

Evening all, I'm still at work so just taking a 5 min break on MSE to cheer myself up!

Really sorry to read everyone's bad news.

Scuzz - make sure you ask for feedback about the job. Did you have an interview? Always worth getting feedback for next time when I'm sure they'll take you!

Right....had better get back to it :(

No, but I wish I could, her OH is going in with her instead, it appears that now the bump is showing he is actually showing some interest in this baby!

Well I suppose that can only be a good thing, I think for some men it takes a bit longer, I don't think my partner showed a real interest until after the oldest was born, but we were both young, he was very young.
