 cant believe the cheek of OH, he's just lowered the Sky package, cancelled The children's package in order to keep Sky Sports News.

I will phone Sky up tomorrow when he's at work, and change it back! And reset my password so he cant phone them no more! Blummin cheek!
OK, lower his food portions and any other things you give him - he sounds a tyrant and needs punishing:mad:

If you do get the password sorted, cancel his sports channels:D

Huge (((hugs))) to bargain babe and moggins.

    Happy birthday to Churchmouse

I feel a bit of a twit, considering the bad days that some people are having when I say that DH's eldest sister gave birth to Hannah Ellen yesterday morning. (whilst I was at Tesco ) Her and her husband already have a little boy, but DH's mum is delighted to be a grandma AGAIN.

I actually sat down this morning to type a message as I hadn't got any supply work. That was until the phone went at 8.20am! What an *interesting* school it turned out to be. It was a Year 3 class, where there was an assortment of behavioural issues - including fighting and swearing. Apparently, I had them "under control"! If that was control, then I DO NOT know what they're like with other people. It was with sadness ;) that I had to turn down a day of work for tomorrow with the same class, as I'm booked elsewhere. What a relief. :D

We're preparing for our week away. We're going up to the Lake District with some friends for the week. We've hired a cottage in Ambleside and have got some meals ready-ish to heat up, when necessary. My parents have also booked to go up there for a few days, which will be nice.

Anyway, I need to go as I've got a beautician's appointment booked for 20 mins time. I need all the help that I can get! I've got half a day of work booked for tomorrow, so I'll be back tomorrow afternoon.

Basque chicken casserole for supper tonight - if I can find the recipe!

  • What a sad thread today's is turning out to be, with some exceptions (like Vicky and Spiddy). So sorry for those who have had bad news of some sort or are feeling under the weather. ((((hugs))))

Wouldn't it be great if the snow was still lying for Aussie's arrival!

My wee car is acting up today - it wouldn't start this morning. After trying to start it for 10 mins or so I phoned the breakdown company. The man turned up within 45 mins, turned the ignition key and the little blighter started first time. He did suggest getting the battery checked though so its a visit to the garage first thing tomorrow. Fingers crossed it won't be an expensive visit.

Was thinking about doing a weekly meal plan - read the thread yesterday for some inspiration. Then I realised that it would actually be a waste of time, food, money and effort for me as I am very much a "what do I feel like eating for dinner today?" person. I would probably end up throwing food away because I didn't feel like eating that particular meal. Still, I am determined to do a store cupboard challenge this month as my outgoings are about to increase dramatically. So OS MSE comes to the rescue again.

Hope what's left of the day is good to you. x

  • Hi, all! I'm completely pooped. Had *Domestic Goddess Monday* and have baked myself to a standstill. Made a cake, some biscuits, pizza whirls for DD's lunch boxes, 2 loaves, yoghurt, risotto for tea, burgers to freeze for later in the week, and prepared the roast veg for tomorrow.

Crazychick - your hair looks lovely - really suits you ;) While our hairdresser was here, she, DD and I were discussing DS's cold and whether it was, in fact, Man Flu. DD mused if men get Man Flu, do women get Bird Flu :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

My boss just peed me off too

I made a sponge today, there was too much mixture so I made 8 fairy cakes too. Just working my way through them now
