Fantastic thread!I love new year resolutions (I'm one of the 1% who stick to them)
This year I'm going to;
1) Finally pay off my loan
2) Lose 3 stone
3) Get back to the gym (went 3 to 4 times a week until I tore all the muscle down one side of my knee 6 months ago
)
4) Put together a professional art portfolio
Good luck everyone

Mine will be to:
Start swimming regulary, start with once a week.
Get a stable job, things are a bit up in the air atm.
Once job is sorted, pay as much money as I can towards debts while I have relatively low living costs.
Do more interesting things in my free time and stop wasting it.
Get some basic dressmaking lessons.
Keep looking at this website and get back into NSDs, keeps me focused and on track.0 -
I love making new years resolutions, not so good at keeping to them though! :rotfl:
However, saying that - this time last year I decided to sort out my finances. It was the 100th time I had said it, but this time I was determined. After a few hiccups along the way, my last credit card will be cleared in Jan and my last loan payment will be in March, so apart from my mortgage I will be as Debt free as I can be for a while!
So next year I am going to really try to- Exercise and Tone up.
- Try to eat more healthily.
- Start overpaying on mortgage.
- Organise my time better.
- Not buy things I don't need.
- Re-decorate my house and clear and the clutter.
- Keep to my Money Saving Ways!
- Stick to my new years resolutions!

This is a really good question and after reading the posts so far I have decided on just 3 commitments
1 Predictably I will carry on with my MSE ways, I'm doing the pay all your debts challenge.
2 Equally predictably will be my commitment to healthy eating - been diagnosed carb sensitive so struggling a little on meals particulary our evening meal.
3 Whilst trying to follow the previous 2 points I will be looking at how to make life more fun, after years and years of struggling financially we really do need some light relief and quality family time so I will be trying to find fun but inexpensive things and then will start the mammoth task of motivating dh to join us.0
