I've emptied the downstairs ironing basket, I really want to do the upstairs one as well but don't want to wake anyone up just yet.
I've rebook DD1's driving test for 29 December
I've cleaned and polished the littlies school shoes ready for back to school. Jammy James needs new school shoes - his feet have grown at the same rate as his legs.
PE kits are ironed and ready to go in the PE bags.
It's hard trying to get jobs done when you have to be quiet!
I hope you get the present sorted Dusty and enjoy your day tomorrow.
I'm jealous you managed to grab another hour's sleep Juliejim. You will enjoy Arthur Christmas.
I'm going to creep upstairs to empty the airer ....0 -
Congrats Bonnie
Must get up early more often... I have emptied the DW, put away the washing up, done a load of washing (most in TD, a few bits need hanging up), hoovered all of downstairs, washed the floors downstairs and cleaned the loo. Doormats have also been hoovered and I'm now waiting for the floor to dry so I can put them down, empty the mop bucket and take the Hoover upstairs for phase 2...
I have some pipes to lag, the tree to water, meter readings and online payments to do, my bed to strip and remake, the kitchen to clean properly, two last presents to wrap and then when OH has finished work at lunchtime we will start putting the study back together!0 -
Finish by noon on Christmas eve list

Still lots to do but working most of today so will have a fly this evening.
Some good news. We're getting a puddy cat in February (maybe earlier) of next year. He's a rescue cat and just needs to stay with his foster carers until he's a bit better as he's not been fed properly etc. He's very affectionate and loves dogs and we get to visit him whilst he's getting better. It's two years since our last puddy passed away so we're very excited about sharing our home with this little chappy!
Ooops manners - congratulations Bonnie xx0 -
Not sleeping well at the moment, DH has asked me to take it easy today...we shall see but I have postponed getting the last few bits until tomorrow unless I feel more human by lunchtime.

Going to get the boys to sort through alll their old toys and junk this afternoon, see if we can make a bit space for the christmas toys and junk lol.
Need to clean the bathroom today too, dyed my hair yesterday and i always manage to get red hairdye everywhere so it looks like a bloodbath in there. An' It Harm None, Do As Thou Will
MACAW... EAT BETTER, no snacks, no junk0 -
Morning all
My night out was very pleasant. I took some florentines for the others to try and they seemed to go down well, so I'll make some more.
So far I've caught up on here and raised the dead, aka waking DS1. I'd counted on him babysitting DS2 while I go to costco, but he's at college today, even though he doesn't normally go on Wednesdays. Grrrr. May have a word with NN to see if DS2 can play with her daughter in return for offering to bring anything back that they need. I'd be a lot quicker without him.
Plan for today:
[STRIKE]budget (early payday today)[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]shower[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]shopping list[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]stick tea in SC[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]shopping[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]locate DS2's Christmas list to check[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]check costco opening time[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]pop in to school to collect a few things[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]out for lunch with friend at 1pm[/STRIKE]
continue with LR and DS2's RoD
bake a cake and some twinks
decorate said cake
ETA [STRIKE]fall out with DS1[/STRIKE]
I think that's enough to start with.I can easily add more if I have time left... Don't think that will be necessary.
It's OH's last day at work, unless they change their mind and say that they need him on Saturday, so he's got at least 2 days at home. I've already told him that there will be lots of jobs for him to do.0 -
Brain gone dead from too much legal jargon and only on p28.
Time for a break, shower and brekkie. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Still ironing - DH's pile done, just going to start on mine. Plan is to iron until 10 while I'm watching Diagnosis Murder then get dressed, walk the dog and go to the pictures!NST #10 Steps 7K 2/30 10K 2/12 5 a day 3/30 NSD 0/20

I am missing it there already and want to be back..... but back to reality!!! lol
DH is talking about going back next year (we talk about it every year!!) He says he has been saving! I looked it up & the flights alone would be about £4000!! (4 adults & 1 teen) as we would have to go in the summer hols cos of school/examsi would rather go in april as it will be too hot in August. I think we need to discuss it further...

I got the job I interviewed for today
I have me a full-time job - with prospects - starting after the Christmas/New Year break
Good morning
The party went well yesterday - but I was shattered!
Went to Aldi's in the afternoon, and bought a turkey crown, and the veg for Christmas dinner - so I think we are all done on that. Need to get DH to get the drinks in (mainly coke, lemonade & Schloer as we are lightweights!!) and we are done
While we were there, i had an irrate parent on the phone as her daughter was waiting for me on the door step (she is 11). I explained calmly that she hadn't confirmed that she was coming, so I assumed that she wasn't. She said that as she was 'paying me anyway' she thought it was a normal week! (she hasn't paid me anything yet, and I have had her daughter for 4 weeks now!) I explained that it is not a normal week as it is holidays! Anyway - she has called this morning & made other arrangements for this week & I won't see her until the New Year! I may terminate the contract before then, if she hasn't paid me! Sorry - rant over
Anyway - this morning I have 1 load in the WM, emptied all the bins, washed out the food bin, put out the recycling (including the large box the children have been playing in!), cleaned out the rabbit, poo picked in the garden & loaded the DW.
I am going to the library now, then town with DS, DD2 & Little Miss Sunshine. then I think we can have a duvet day with some Christmas filmscatch up with you all later.
