I wouldn't call it "trolls" Cleaver. But yeah, I have to be admit, it is mainly for fun. Which my recent admission surely highlights.
Some trolling definitions. They all seem to be pretty apt Geneer:

Well last december I popped up the 1 as my avatar. The fuddiots were oblivious to it.
Mid year I popped it up to 1.5 (as you can see). Over on MSE i've just adopted the 2.
But I've left the 1.5 up here for a bit as evidence of the timescales.

I tend to think you bring charts to the table far often. Then refuse to discuss them in any kind of credible context.
I've noticed that ISTL does seem to post charts and other evidence to help make his point. Crazy really; like you I hate evidenced based debate as it tends to gets in the way of my belief system.

23% may be true in places, all we at Digger Mansions have to go by is the offer we have recently accepted, which is 17% below what identical properties in our development achieved at the time of Northern Rock going belly up.
