I think we both know Jimmy that if I lived where you live I wouldn't touch property with a bargepole either.
You should move to the next town from me as the penthouse apartment in the snazzy new block in the town centre is currently up for sale for 55k, its been sat there for quite a while so it should be an easy buy for you.
In 2007 these apartments were selling in the region of 150k so thats quite a discount.
There are also quite a few more flats available in the block but not penthouses, just normal flats so if you wanted to buy 2 of them you could.
The flats that are not penthouses are also priced at 55k so they will probably come down in price once somebody notices.
I just thought i would mention it as i know you like flats;)0 -
He only changed it from confirming he was RTP to gently mocking because you pleaded with him. I quote:
So its gone from RIPPING THE P@*& to "gentle mocking" to calm acceptance of the situation, following our discussion of some of my experiences.
Which, of course, you've completely forgotten to mention. :rotfl:
But then you won't really understand this.
Incorporating new information and moving on isn't something you guys can readily do.
Still stuck in 2007 really.0 -

Do you have a link for those? That's quite a difference. A few Manchester flats are selling at half price from peak in certain areas but not seen discounts like that.0 -

.
Could you clarify these 2 questions Geneer (you seem to have missed them):
Geneer you have made a bit of a dogs dinner with your retrospective "2009 property purchase" announcement.
To avoid any further confusing announcements (like your 2009 'purchase') in the coming months or years, could you confirm:
1) That you have made no other purchase or sales since 2009?
2)Also for absolute clarity could you confirm you have not made any purchases or sales pre your December 2009 one (in case you announce next week that you bought 10 BTL in 2001 that you had previously omitted to mention)
Kind Regards

It's an internet forum, so it doesn't matter. I could tell you that I bought a submarine in 2002 and a gold-plated popcorn machine in 1996 and you have no idea whether I'm telling the truth.
As I've said before, you tend to get to know the genuine posters on here through a gut feeling for what they type. Graham, Generali, Dopester, Viva, Lostinrates, Single Sue - all of these people (to my eyes) write with an honesty and humilty which (again to my eyes) seems very genuine. I have no doubt that Generali lives in Australia in the same way that Ihave no doubt that Mr Ree doesn't own a sports car and a BTL empire. You can just tell.
It's hard to know with Geener, I think he just trolls for fun really.0 -

Geneer is a "well known" character in many property forums;) and many say he has cult status.
It would help Geneers credibility(:)) if he clarifies these 2 qu's now.
Rather than if prices fall in Edinburgh by 25% 2012 and THEN in 2013 he dramatically announces he STR in June 2011.
Kind Regards

I wouldn't call it "trolls" Cleaver. But yeah, I have to be admit, it is mainly for fun. Which my recent admission surely highlights.0
