would love to join - I have gulp 7 1/2 stone :( to lose. I have already lost 11lbs in the last two weeks.

My weight has caused sleep apnoea (when you stop breathing in your sleep) and the first signs of arthritis even though I'm in my 40s still. I also have hypertension but that seems to be a family thing although it could be made worse by my weight.

    Hi,
Would like to join if it's not too late? Have had no motivation so far this year but am determined that will change - so have been very good this weekend, healthy eating and exercise for last 2 days so just need to keep it up now. :) Ideally would like to lose at least 4 stone so have a long way to go but at the moment am going to see if I can ideally lose a stone in 5 weeks for an event I have to go to. Am hoping that will go a little quicker to start with so that will be doable.

Hi folks sorry have been AWOL for a while. Was on hols for 2 weeks and went back to work last week but have not been good at all and im afraid it shows on the scales:o
Am back up to the top end of my weight again so starting from scratch yet again. I have a few events to go to this year so really need to try and cut down so i dont have to wear the same few outfits time and time again but i am so easily swayed by nice but naughty food. Never mind slowly but surely and will really try this time.
Well done to all those losing the weight if i could have some of your willpower please would be very helpful.
Good luck to us all and look forward to reporting a loss however small next week xx

    Hi and welcome:)

Its good to start with a smaller goal. I bet it will spur you on when people start to notice the weight coming off. What exercise do you like?
Loved our trip to the West Coast USA. Death Valley is the place to go!

Thanks :) I'm doing the 30 day shred at the moment - wouldn't say I particularly like it but does give me quite good results. Am looking at maybe adding a dance or aerobics type class for something a bit more enjoyable and hopefully now the weather's getting a bit better and the nights are lighter can back into walking more. Last summer would walk home from work most days, took me about an hour and was quite a nice walk along the canal for most of the way, but in the dark it's quite creepy so don't tend to do it in winter :o
