Hi all ... how are we after the new years day celebrations?
Well it was DDay this morningand got on my scales.
18stone 5lbs:eek:
Its my starting point ... I start Aquafit next Tuesday and also going back to work tomorrow which I will be walking to and from (approx 5 miles) Also it will enable me to resist eating during the day
Did Dance Central last night and OMG I was all over the place :rotfl:My poor cats ran out of the living room with their tails just intact
I also cleaned out the cubboards and put all the naughty things into a seperate shelve which the OH has promised to eat for me
Here's to a new year peeps :beer:0 -

Good evening everyone!
I hope you have all had a nice day?
I am just wondering, for those of you who are aiming for the same loss as me (4lbs a month), are you weighing once a month, or once a week?0 -
I will be weighing weekly just to keep myself on track. I'm about to cook my chicken stir fry I'm starving and have had food on the mind all day its annoying !
Bought zumba so will attempt that tomorrow! Had Abit of a home pamper hour inc dying my hair exfoliating and applying gradual tan. I'm determined to glam up and feel good this year !0 -
Well did my after Christmas weigh in and I'm 11 stone 11.6. Which wasn't quite as bad as I was expecting. Still have2.5 stone to lose though
It wasn't a very healthy first day but I'm ok on calories. Think I'm just going to focus on calories till the junk is gone from the house!0 -
Weekly for me too Cleggie!

Hi Dolly Rocker, I made it over!!! I will join your weight lose thread. I don't join slimming world til Wed night, the girl doing it has just lost over 3 stone and has done so well. This will be her first SW group but I think she will be more of an inspiration than the group I used to go to last year. I think my starting weight will be around 15 st!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ideally I would like to get to about 11st but think this may not be achievable. I have dieted on and off all my life and however well I did I could never get below 11st so think I should set a more realistic target of 11st 12lb. This is below 12st and as I got to this weight about 3 years ago and everyone said how great I looked(even though when I looked in the mirror I still saw fat me!!!) I think its achievable.
My Targets
Jan - 7lb
Feb - 6lb
March - 6lb
April - 5lb
May - 5lb
June - 5lb
July - 5lb
Aug - 5lb
Total - 44lb - that sound horrendous!!!! My daughter weighs that!!!!!!!!
Anyway, weigh day Wednesday so will update my weight when I get home. Thanks for the link DR will subscribe and keep up to date.
Good luck everyone who is on here Taffy xxxxxxxxNeed to sort my life out! :T0 -
Im a bit late but would really like to join you all, i hope it will keep me motivated. Im heavier now than i have ever been and no clothes fit, my self confidence is a bit low as well which has a knock on effect in my daily life. I am only 5 foot 2" and need to lose a lot of weight but i am aiming for 3 stone this year as i think that is a realistic goal. so my aim is
- Eat healthier meals (plus 3 meals a day)
- reduce amount of yummy bad for you treats
- be more active
- use my wii fit/work out dvd more
- reduce take outs/meals out
- try not to eat anything after 8pm (i munch mostly at night)
I will get back when i have actually weighed myself:(
Good luck everyone:jSuccess means having to worry about every thing in the world......EXCEPT MONEY. Johnny Cash

Hello everyone!
Well abit of a set back for me today on the exercise front. As i was all planning to go and have a jog, but opened the front door and realised how bitterly cold it was, i cannot get ill again. So i will go to the gym tomorrow instead.
I am doing well regarding food as i am using the Rosemary Conleys' portion pots that i have used a few years back.
I will have to try and find some easy to make dishes for one as i work shifts.
I too will be weighing myself weekly as i find this encouraging when i see the weight go down
I hope everyone all the best,
