  • I was in the works today and got loads of weightwatcher recipe books that were reduced- and the recipes are of food you would actually cook- but some fancy stuff for those that want them. There was a soup one, family one, entertaining one and a seasonal one. I paid £17.99 for all four. Hope that helps some of you- I was looking for a recipe book with the calories and they have all that soooo.

Im dying to know how much I weigh! I haven't weighed myself for ages- It will feel like I've lost weight if I've overestimated :D weighing myself when diet starts on Monday (have a big tea at mils on NYD). Target will be 100lbs no matter what. Then in 2013 I want to get to and maintain 9 stone- as long as it suits my build that is ( I haven't been 9 stone since I was in my early teens so not sure if I will suit it now)
    £20 a day April 2014 £834.87/£600 :j
    £20 a day May 2014 £108.45/£600

  • I lost 42lb at weightwatchers in 2009 so really need to get back on it as I've regained about 30lb of this!

a meal I like is roasted butternut squash mashed up with one cheese triangle - 1 point (I do old weightwatchers)

roasted peppers, onions and courgettes (0 points) for 20 mins in the oven then mixed with a tin of chopped tomatoes (0 points) and half a tin of butter beans (2.5) on the hob for 5 mins.

makes 2 dinners and it's sooo filling! I'd reccomend it to people who want to lose weight.

D day is approaching and I still haven't even managed to decide what food plan to follow. I lost weight on WW but hate the new propoints thing, and have thrown my old points calculator away. I could never get my head round controlling portions on sw and would really just overeat.
If I can't even make the choice of where to start then what on earth am I going to do.
Maybe I should just calorie count or something.

There are calculators online that will keep you on track, just google ww points calculator uk and you should get a few options, I have got the old card pully thingy somewhere and I have seen it lately, but for the life of me, I don't know where :rotfl:.

I lost quite a bit last time I was on weight watchers, so I know the diet works for me. I already started on Tuesday, just because I didn't want to delay it any more and so far I am loving it.

Last night we had fajita's for tea, followed by sugar free jelly and light carnation....yummy!!!!
    Starting weight 17st 4lb - weight now 15st 2lbs

    30lb lost of 30lb by June 2012 :j:j:j (80lb overall goal)

  • Can I join please? I need to lose 5 stones, having lost 2 and then managed to put 3 on !!! I am planning on starting 6 Jan, when I get paid. Going to count calories/fat as per Rosemary Conley.
My biggest challenge will be not snacking and reducing portion sizes :)
    Good luck everyone
  • I'd like to join in please.

Not sure of my exact weight at the moment because I've been away over Christmas but based on my last weigh in I need to lose 35lbs ~2.5 stone to reach normal weight.
Definitely doable in a year (I lost 40lbs in 2010:), and then put 25lbs back on in 2011:whistle:).

I'm going to try for 5lb a month (hoping to do more than that at first and probably slow down later).

This should have me at a normal weight in July.
  • I would love to Join. I was all set to lose my excess weight last year but got pregnant (found out start of Feb). I managed to lose some weight though. My start weight last year was 18st 12. I had Dd2 at start October and weighed in at 15st 13!!

I have since been binging again and back up to 16st 9. I have just been prescribed setraline (anti depressant) for post natal depression by Dr.

I am hoping to start on Monday using Ultra Slim (tesco own brand slimfast). I know it's not the healthiest but I am not eating at all during the day and then majorly binging. I am going to use it for a month and just eat a normal dinner at night (my main meal is healthy as eat with Dd1). Hopefully once the antidepressants kick in I will move onto SW or WW.

I have lots of ways I can excersize aswell and want to do as much as possible because when I had PND with Dd1 I found that it was exersize that made me feel better.

    Good luck everyone x
