  • Hi everyone, This is my first post so please be gentle if I get it wrong.
I'd like to join the 2012 weight loss challenge - tried to do it on my own last year - started with health check and found I had underactive thyroid but don't think I can put it all down to this. Did join ladies Gym in August and although it toned me up I found I didn't really lose weight.
So I'm going to start again in Jan - eating healthily and going back to Gym but perhaps put a bit more effort in - also my thyriod medication was stabalised in October so perhaps things might be easier.
I am only 4'9" and weigh 10st 3lb so look like a little barrel LOL
I'm going to aim for 4lb a month - any extra will be a bonus!!
Just eaten the last few chocolate whilst writing this and only a few mince pies and a bit of cheese left oh and a night out tonight and new year!!!!
Anyway good luck everyone and look forward to all your brilliant advice. Thank you and Happy New Year:)

    Welcome aboard!

Everyone lets just enjoy these last few fat days LOL

I honestly cant stop stuffing my face its ridiculous!

I was all big ideas about still losing weight over the festive period - that didnt go well :rotfl:

Oh Dolly, i have even opened the quality street and bottle of archers...*hic!
  • OMG I love quality street with a nice big cuppa!

Mmmmmmmmmmmm I'm a bit strange though I need to eat all of the 1 kind first I dont mix them!

I do that with skittles, m&ms - well everything infact haha!

Theres still a few beers in the fridge gonna crack them open tonight I think.

I'm having my mum & her bf over on new years day for dinner - I will be back on the Ole wagon tho but I'll be making them steak pie, roast tatties & some form of vegetable to whack on the side of the plate haha!

I'm starving - off to see what chocolate is left

    Hi

I have about 1-1 &1/2 stone to lose. I've been trying myself and even joined ww online last year but couldn't stick to it at all. I'm seriously debating joining slimming world - is it worth the cash paid each week?

Doc has told me my blood pressure and cholesterol are high - not high enough for meds yet but I seriously need to look at my diet/lifestyle. My dd is getting married next December too. So I have the motivation to do it - all I need to do is stick at it - siiimples ;)

    I'm aiming for

    Jan - 4lb
    Feb - 4lb
    March - 4lb
    April - 4lb = 1 stone altogether
    May - 4lb
    June - 4lb = 1 & 1/2 stone

Doesn't sound a lot but I'm only 5ft with a small frame - so continually carrying that much extra weight must take it's toll!!

I've been listening to Paul McKenna for some time now and have lost some weight but only a few pounds - I need to see a bigger difference.

So on New Years Day I'm going to re-set my wii and use it instead of dusting it every so often. It's embarrassing the amount of fresh starts with weight loss I've had!!

    Good Luck everyone :)
    January spends - £587.58
