  • I was full of good intentions today but it didn't seem to get me very far.........have managed to do most of my Dailies before I went to w**k but I am now so shattered I think I'll have to try a bit of catch-up tomorrow morning.
I did paint some more of DS's room - nearly finished it now thank goodness.
It was manic at w**k and my 7pm finish turned into 8pm which was really frustrating because by the time I got home and ate my dinner (did put SC on this morning) it's nearly time for bed.
So, no painting tomorrow - I'm getting stuck into the flying before I have to go to the crackpot veterinary surgery I call w**k!

Well was going to do my list but after what I just watched on Channel 4, I am going to go up to bed and cry myself to sleep. I swore to myself when I saw the trailer I was NOT going to watch it but did, and then had to watch it till the end in the hope the kids got something like a normal life!!

So tomorrow I shall check Moggins list and do the dailies and spend some quality time with DDs, Got DD1 friend coming round for tea so need to make the garlic bread to go with the bolognaise in the freezer.

Sorry for off topic ramble dont want to cause a debate.

stefejb, I loved your comment about having to export shredded wheat to your dad abroad. I worked in Switzerland years ago and we had to go to the food hall of the poshest department store if we wanted exotic stuff like baked beans. Anyone going home on holiday had to promise to bring back weird foreign muck:rotfl: like the baked beans, Birds custard powder, Colmans mustard etc etc. We also had to give long descriptions of what Indian or Chinese meals we had eaten - there was nothing like that in the area where we were working.

well at least he didn't forget his mint sauce. One time when we were going to see him his partner put in a request for something she couldn't remember the name of but described instead. it turned out to be bisto but you'd never have guessed from the description :rotfl:
One christmas we took a christmas pudding with us. He has two youngish daughters and they were amazed - that pudding had to be lit five times :D

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

I joined New Year Flylady Challenge but soon lost heart as everyone else seemed to be forging ahead and I was getting little or nothing done so I felt like I was falling further and further behind...:(

Anyway good news is my in-laws have come to stay for a few days and it's taken a 2/3 days to get things sorted but I'm nearly there - place is looking fabuloso :T and I've still got some hotspots but very few and they are all sort of under control (cut down to only a handful of dumping areas and they are relatively tidy :D)

Now I'm in dire need of some strategies so I don't let it slip again so if anyone can give advice please do - as soon as humanly possible ;)

Also what is happening with the Flylady stuff now - is there another thread that replaced the New Year one?
You should never call somebody else a nerd or geek because everybody (even YOU !!!) is an
"anorak" about something whether it's trains, computers, football, shoes or celebs :p :rotfl:
