This may have been mentioned before but, wouldn't it be a good idea if some trusted board members could access the titles of threads so they can change it to the correct format?

This would be instead of a forum member asking a new poster to change the format of their post - but quite a few times I've noticed the poster never returns to the thread.

BGs can edit titles, I try and check them most days

I think you're right and most OPs never go back to a comp thread after posting it, but I still post the following each time if a relative newbie is the OP

    Hi :)
    thanks for the comp

all comps are posted with the title starting E: ??/?? to aid with searching by date
plus a brief description of the comp in the title
I've edited this one but there are more tips for posting in the comping guide (link in my sig)

I think even if the thread OP never sees it, other new compers will see the message as they work through the comps and be aware how to post if they find a new comp :)

if it's just a case of missing a space, or posting e: instead of E: by mistake, I just edit it :)

Getting a bit fed up - had an accident 3 months ago and have been sat at home unable to walk (temporarily I hope) since then. I have entered comps for 4 hours a day 7 days a weeks for this time to take my mind off being in pain and lonely - about 450 hours worth! So far I have won a £100 sunglass voucher which was great but I cannot help thinking it has been a bit of a waste. Anyone with any words of wisdom to give me a bit of a boost?
  • Has anyone got the answer to the £500 Sudoku puzzle on page 49 of that magazine. Please let me know

Sorry, I don't have that magazine, but there's a sudoku solving site that I sometimes use if I mess up a sudoku in a puzzle mag:
