Good morning, well not so good for me this is my 3rd day off work with a bug, have snotty nose, sore throat and ache all over. Feel a bit brighter than yesterday have managed to get up and make a cup of tea, going to go for a shower shortly.
Having 3 days off work does mean 3 days of lost pay, but really can't do much about it.
Being positive i've saved 3 days worth of petrol, not eaten due to being ill so money saved there:rotfl:. Also made £11.50 on ebay this weekend and have redeemed £4.16 from cr*wdology this morning and a£10 amazon voucher from Ips*s, also had a email to let me know quidco has paid me £1, all adds up.
Children have taken the last of my change for tuck shop, think they had 50p each, they have also come home with letters for a school trip inthe summer, its 3 days/2 nights away on a activity visit, so will get to go canoeing and climbing etc, both really want to go, so now need to save up for this, deposit needs to be paid next week £10 each. Total cost £180.
Hope everyones feeling ok and take care.0 -
Hope you're feeling better today Penny?
Agree about the cash for clothes place, they seem to have sprung up here but i'd think you're better off ebaying too, although it feels like a huge effort sometimes:D.Weight: need to lose 71lbs - lost to date 0lbs

Hi NL, same here, snow and now icy sleety stuff, bl**dy freezing, not planning on going anywhere this weekend, hope your well.
Hi PWD, i'm going to keep bagging up stuff thats unsellable and once we have a bin bag full and passing the place will pop in, certainly not worth going out of my way for though.
Feeling bit better today and went into work, it was ok and was quite an easy day, lots of members of staff off and children, bugs seems to be flying around.
No real money news, have done a few more surveys and have redeemed a £10 sainsbug voucher from valu£d opini*n. also £1 from quidco has hit bank account, so will add that to my sig.
Had a phone call earlier letting me know that DD pony club has been cancelled, so £25 saved there. DD a little disappointed but happy she will get a lie in. Will do something crafty with her tomorrow instead.
Also got a feeling that DS football will be cancelled as well, hope so a lazy sat morning sounds good and is just what i need at the minute.
Hope everyone is managing ok with the snow, take care.0 -
Woke up to quite a bit of snow this morning, so the children have been out making a snowman.
DH got up yo go to work and found he had a flat tyre, so ended up taking my car to work, he's been to the garage and sorted out the puncture, cost him £12, whilst he was out got him to nip to the co op to get some bits to see us through the weekend spent £5.94, have very limited funds until Tuesday when I get child ben and then I'm paid on Thursday.
Sold an item on ebay today only 99p, but its another item decluttered, determined that this house is not going to get cluttered with stuff and as soon as something is finished with or grown out of then its gone.
Getting quite frustrated that I don't seem to be able to overpay on any of the debt, everytime I seem to get a few pounds that I think might be spare something crops up and needs paying.
Oh DD has also informed me her swimming costume is too small and she needs a new one, so i'm watching a couple on ebay.
Also done a pin£cone survey sothats another £4 heading my way.
Not done an awful lot this morning, swept and washed all floors downstairs, got some meat out of the freezer for tomorrows tea, found a packet of puff pastry in the freezer so took out some sausages as well and will make sausage rolls for tomorrows lunch, need to alsso do some baking, but have limited baking stuff, will probably make choc cake and maybe some biscuits.0 -
You could try sportsdirect Pen, through £co they are quite cheap for swim stuff and sale on now, good brands too. Think there is one called swimshop and it's good as well.
Spookily enough my DD is saying her costume is too small.
Don't worry about the overpayments yet, it's only Jan so it's a nightmare time. Any progress on your old house? That will help?Weight: need to lose 71lbs - lost to date 0lbs

.
How old is your DD PWPS? My daughter is 10 and has just outgrown her swimming costume (age 8 - 9 years) she only wore it 6 times (for school swimming) and this year it was too small so we had to get her another one. (We won't talk about the fact we were only given 1 dys notice and DH was put in charge of buying it and as he could not deicde he got 2 :rotfl:)
If it is the right size you are very welcome to it.
I think we also have tankini styles bikinis in 7 - 8 years but DD is not allowed them for school swimming.
Let me know anyway.
Can I just ask where you get your motivation for surveys?
As you know I did them all last year and from about the summer onwards I really hit them hard and did them all but I have not done any since before Xmas and I just cannot be bothered - I think it is because I don't have anything to aim for - although I do really as we are moving in 2 weeks and need to do up the house
Get a grip EE :rotfl:0 -
Just read back and seen PWD DD needs a costume - same offer applies. Need to get rid!!
And don't mentions Sportdirect - that is where DH went to buy the new one and came away with 2!!0
