  • Wond£rbug surveys has now teamed with IPS*S, so all my points had been transfered over to Ips*s, this has given me enough to order a £10 am*zon voucher:j, now have £30 of vouchers in my Am*zon account, thinking of ordering DS a wii game for christmas.

    That's brilliant hun x
  • Thanks PM2,

Not much to update, busy day at work.

    Recieved a £4 payment from p!necone.

Have ordered £50 of presents for the kids from Mr T, had them delivered to store so can pick them up in my lunch hour, saving on postage.

Been reflecting on life and work, have decided I want to be at least semi retired by the time I'm fifty, just need to work out how we will do it as its 15ish years away, i know we will have to be debt and mortgage free to do it.
  • Sorry you are fed up, I hate this time of year...It's a great idea to get a plan in place for your future, have you rented your house out yet? Having a tenant pay your mortgage off will get you there nicely I reckon xx

    HI NL.

Thats our plan to get it rented out, OH is busy doing work on it at the minute to get it to a standard to rent out, don't think it will be rented out until into the new year though.
  • It will be worth it though x I want to build our meagre savings up (in the new year, impossible at the moment.) Just shelled out £300 on my little car (exhaust and tyres) oh what an exciting thing to spend your money on! Also started volunteering at the local animal shelter, nice, wholesome, free way to spend our weekends...only went and fell in love with one of the little dogs, he is on trial with us at the moment, could prove very expensive but we just could not resist him, oh dear !...

  • Hi NL, cars are such a costly thing to have and if like us you live in the sticks a necessity not a luxury.

Awwwwwww a lickle doggie, he will have a lovely life with you, all those walks on the front at the beach, I would be the same if I worked in an animal shelter, every cute animal would be brought home.
  • MAde 99p last night on ebay, not much better than nothing.

OH came home with a couple of items from the other house that are to go on ebay, also brought home last of the boxes so need to empty them this weekend and find homes for the things.

Also forgot to mention the other day that when OH had been in the loft at old house last week, he found some copper piping from when we had the old emersion heater removed and a combi boiler put in, he had left the pipes in the loft ( 5 years ago) anyway he took them to the scrap yard and got £40 for them :j, so that will pay for the paint for the house:D.
  • Monday again, where has the weekend gone.

Hubby treated us to a night out on Friday and took me to the cinema to see Skyfall, excellent film and a lovely surprise.

Sat was spent doing housework and running kids around to various activities/friends houses, but it was a NSD as DS subs for football are paid in one go at the beginning of the year.

Yesterday We spent the morning at the old house decorating and then went to visit in laws, so again it was a NSD.

Found some more bits to list on ebay when I emptied some boxes, only 99p things, got 3 items listed last night will hopefully get the rest listed today/tomorrow.

Have recieved a £5 amazon voucher from mysurvey.

Ordered DD a Kindle fire on Fri from amaz*n as they were on offer at £99, used £30 of voucher, so dodn't get DS his game.

Weather is awful and I'm dreading driving to work, hope the roads are not too bad.
  • Quick update.

Paid £40 off hal!fax card and scraped together my last £9 to put fuel in the car.
