  • Well done on the amazon sale, i'm not doing that well this month making extra money.

Today i have the challenge of taking my gran christmas shopping and she is a nightmare, have been told i have to take her to Asd*, Marks and sp£nc£rs and Iceland to buy food for people that she doesn't know if they are coming or not but they might just turn up and she will need to feed them:mad:, of course what will happen is different rellies turn up to visit for an hour, no one wants feeding and everything she has bought will be sent home with me on boxing day after i have visited her with her grumbling i don't know why i bother and i'm not doing this next year and of course she will, my brother is having her for xmas lunch, so really apart from a box of mince pies i don't see why she has too buy anything, but i know i will come back with party platters and gateau's for 12 people:mad:.

    Wish me luck.

    Hi Pennywise

Poor you having to go round all those shops, hopefully your Gran won't go too wild with her food shopping xx
  • Good morning, well i managed to survive the christmas shopping, town was quite quiet, so made shopping in M & S not too bad, Gran bought quite a bit in Iceland but i persuaded her to use the delivery service so we didn't have to lug it back to the car:D, Asda on the other hand was a bl**dy nightmare i hate this store on the best days, but at christmas time its just unbearable, returned from Grans with chicken legs and fish fingers, so we ended up having honey and mustard chicken for tea last night instead of fish goujons and we will have fishfinger sandwiches for lunch today.

DS has come down with a bug bless him:(, high temp and has been sick, told him to stay in bed for now, does mean i have to cancel my friend and her children that were coming around to play today:(, would hate for them to be ill over christmas.

Todays plans are to try and do some baking with DD and have a general tidy up, need to nip to the bank later but need to see how DS is.

On the money front i'm skint and have about £30 to my name until next Friday when i get paid, not made anything this week with surveys, suppose its slow due to christmas but its very frustrating:mad:.

Off to have a mooch on the grabbit/ freebie board.

  • Morning Penny, sorry DS is ill, there are loads of children / adults ill with it up here. Hope he rallies in time for the big day.

Well done with the Granny shopping, she's good to you isn't she with all the unused food, deep breaths!

Tidying and washing, drying etc here today too. Dh at work today so he's got a couple of things to try and get, flipping moshi monsters, i HATE plastic but after a carp Christmas last year it would be good to get something they have asked for this time.
We both got paid early this month, yesterday, but that means a long five weeks till the next pay. A few people at work were saying they would take out a lump of cash and hide it from themselves and then pay it back in next week or the week after so they didn't go mad in the sales.
Have a good day, may be back later when all the hype gets too much!

  • Thanks guys DS is asleep at the minute.

PWD don't talk to me about bl**dy moshi monsters both of mine are mad on them, i must have looked like a mad women the other day dragging boxes of them off the shelves in Tesc* as DS has requested a uber rare one that he just haaaaaaaaaaas to have and i know in a weeks time he will have left it on the floor and the dog will of chewed it up, DD spotted the game for the DS so i had to take back game i had bought her and change it for moshi monsters one:mad:, kids who'd have them:rotfl:.
