Really? Will Paypal work out how much it cost to return the item and then refund that to the buyer? How will they know? do they assume first class or second class?

The experience i had were an item was returned not as described Paypal did not refund any return postage costs to me...

In my case, PayPal deducted the return postage cost as advised by the buyer.

Quick aside - on an international sale I overestimated the costs, and simply ended up popping a 10 USD bill into the parcel along with the item.

Needless to say the new owner was delighted..

    Guess I was too honest!

I sell a lot of PS2 games from my collection and always either add £2 to the price and have Free P+P or have £1.99 P+P

This is because the padded envelope is 80p and the Royal Mail online postage states 98p for an item of that size and weight. So thats a completely reasonable postage and packaging.

    You are not correct:

If PayPal decide in buyers favour they deduct cost of item plus your P&P from your account. Then they deduct his postage for purchaser returning your item.

In my case I was on holiday and not at home, PO returned the item to sender and buyer still has my goods. but this did not deter PayPal from extracting the cash for his postage.

Your attitude is appalling and no, you are not correct at all -

On a returned item Paypal do not allow them the p&p costs at all!!

They lose the original cost and the cost of return.

Just because you got p&p returned don't assume that everyone does.

i feel for you. hope you win the dispute. i'm having a similar prob at the mo, about some designer sunglasses i sold to an ebayer. He doesn't like them, but i dont do refunds (unless they are faulty)... so he has reported me for (get ready for it):::

    postage too high
    wrong catagory
    fake item!
    different to picture
    used item (not new)

along with a few other things... none of these complaints are actually true, and luckily I can prove him wrong to PayPal. So im not too worried. Some Ebayers are so annoying though, he has also been very rude and patronising to me in the process.
    I :heart::coffee:
