money queen, that offer of your dh is so utterly thoughtful. What a kind person
I have def ordered the cuisinart now from housemakers. The chef is wiped and ready for my dd and so are all the accessories, she will get far more use than me as they have a young family. I have had chefs for 35 years but it is time to move on. I am looking forward to using one bowl at a time for small and large quantities and I really liked the compact storage and super efficiency. Red cabbage casserole is going to be a doddle!0 -

Don't agree with you about this though but as you said we are all different...
I and DH both work full time but at the same time love working together in the kitchen and if an appliance saves us time that we can spend together "outside the kitchen" why not buy it as a present on a special occasion and then we would always have nice memories linked to it. Thats what I call romance!!
Though Kisses, Cuddles, flowers etc. will also be part of the day
Hope I haven't offended anyone

Hi MoneyQueen,
You defintely haven't offended me, in fact reading your latest post everything you say makes sense! I envy you for this closeness in the kitchen! Much as DH and I adore each other, I just CANNOT be in the same kitchen with him while cooking, he is the ultimate perfectionist - professional fault, being an architect he deals in millimetres even when chopping carrots, and it takes him AGES, so I have to leave the kitchen to avoid screaming in frustration!
But, the positive side is that when he makes a stir fry all the pieces are perfectly uniformly cut!:T
I hope you have a wonderful wedding anniversary and please accept my apologies for posting in quite an insensitive way, not knowing the full facts! Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).0 -
Barneysmom those sausages look fab.Do you have a special recipe and where do you buy your skins from?0

Hi Moneyqueen
It's always exciting to get a new piece of kitchen kit! :j
I have added your thread to the existing one which discusses both machines, so if you read back you will see plenty of discussion and input from others
Good luck!

My kenwood patissier was my chosen 40th birthday pressie from my hubby, it was what I wanted so he bought it for me....win win, I was happy, he was happy.:D
Some people like appliances and equipment as gifts, some people are totally insulted, just make sure your partner knows which one you are to avoid trauma.:rotfl:DFW Nerd 267. DEBT FREE 11.06.08

Too true! I had a woodburning outdoor stove thing (google Ozpig) for my 40th birthday from hubby and the rest of the family. It was just what I wanted and I was over the moon with it!Piglet
