    Morning all,

It is really cold here but we have rain not snow and no snow forecast for the next few days, what a difference from last year.

My kids finish school at lunchtime today but I am still teaching till next Tuesday afternoon, feel exhausted already and none of my pupils are in the mood to learn anything. It is a good job I am not in one of the Nottingham city schools as they don't finish till next friday!

Tonight OH and I are off out for a festive curry with some friends, DD1 is going to a party with a sleepover and DS is babysitting for DD2. He may have a couple of friends over as well.

    Tomorrow there is no netball!!!!!!
So I get a lie in!!!!

Hugs to all that need them especially JackieG and Dazi.

    Have a lovely day everyone.:)

    Morning all,

 Happy Birthday to Nelski, have a great day xx

Hester  snow, we are not far from you, hope we get some :D.

Last day at work for me, and for dd at college, OH has the day off today, to take his dad in for a cataract (sp) operation, the actual op only takes about 20 mins, but with recovery etc, he has to be there aout 3 hours, so OH will drop him off and see him in, then go off to get his xmas presents, honestly he only has to buy for dd and I so hardly a chore, but you would not believe the fuss he is making :D

Going to do a curry for dinner, last time we had a takeaway I saved the sauce, so will mix this in for a more authentic taste.

Got a meeting at dads home today, regarding the food, so hopefully things will improve soon.

WE had a gas leak in the road last night, the men have been digging the road up all week, and its almost as if they had forgotten to turn the gas off as they left, the whole road stunk , phoned the gasline, and they sent someone out, who knocked on our door, he said its a huge leak, and that he has called the diggers back, and in the meantime he would moniter it, monitering consitted of sitting in his van for 3 hours :rotfl:, although he must have been freezing, so we did run him coffee over. Poor chaps were down the hole in the freezing rain at midnight last night, still seems to have done the job :T

Dazi, I am not sure most people know what happened, nothing much had been mentioned on here, I think we wanted to leave it to you if you wanted people to know, big hugs xx

JackieG thinking of you and your family today xxxx

    Have good days all xx
  • Morning All,

Just a quickie to say thank you for the good wishes. BIL is being laid to rest today at 1100 am. It is snowing here, and looks beautiful. For some reason I seem to be avoiding getting ready :o which is why I am here.

Hugs to you Dazi, as redruby said, no one has mentioned your news directly here, thats for you to decide darling.

    Have a good day everyone.

Sadly my Dad died last Friday. The cremation is not till next Thursday so we all feel a bit in limbo.

Well we are off to Japan for three weeks today, driving to Heathrow, flight leaves at 7.pm but OH likes to take it easy, not on the motorway as far as possible stop for snack in Marlborough etc. Any weather reports gratefully received...we want to get away ok not like DD getting diverted to Newcastle on her way home to the UK last Christmas!

Will keep in touch and have lovely peaceful Christmases and New Years.

JackieG (((((((Hugs))))))) Thinking of you all today x

We have a good covering of snow this morning, and it is still coming down. I have folded and put the heating on.
We have got to go out this morning to get a few bits for the do on Sunday.
When we get back I must do the icing on the Christmas Cake, and I have some more veggies to prepare and freeze.

DD stayed at her BF's last night so I will leave DS in bed and get cracking with some HW in a mo.

Shalva I am glad that you all enjoyed your holiday, it is a shame you missed the snow (even though it is a pain) It looks very Christmas card here today x

Keep safe in the snow everyone x

    Morning everyone

Love and hugs to those that are having a hard/sad time at the moment x

Wet and cold here this morning. DH up and off to work at stupid early o'clock. Dinner last night was gammon, egg, chips/jacket potato, peas and onion sauce. Haven't a clue about tonight, will organise that whilst I'm doing the food shopping this morning.

Both boys now on school hols so much less pressure in the mornings, although I still have to work Mon, Tues and Weds next week. Spoke to my friend yesterday afternoon and she's coming for coffee etc at lunchtime, not sure how she's going to be, have the tissues and hugs ready to administer if needed.

This morning I will be going to the bank, food shopping etc, need to crack on with chores, did manage to get housework sort of done yesterday, but did get a good amount of ironing done, so just need to keep washing and drying then ironing today, would like to do some cooking and do some more wrapping today too. Must crack on.

Hugs to those that want/need them, keep safe and well x
