Afternoon gang, hope you are all well. Congratulations to miss p-p that looks yummy!! Having a very nice day. Long lie in, DH got up early and went for the papers, fed the cats and then brought coffee and shortbread bicckies back to bed. He has been dead busy, typing up stuff for school on the Tempest, then doing stuff with his ebay shop. He is now packing up the stuff ready for me to post tomorrow. He made lunch(some of last nights left over cheese and onion pasta and a jacket spud) fab. All cats much better today only poor Livvy not 100% yet but he is TONS better. Poor boy is a somewhat confused puzsy(see if THAT gets through the censor! LOL)cat today. He was in our bedroom and as he was behaving himself we said he could stay in for a while(he sometimes is naughty and chases Phoebe)anyway I come back into the room and start to put some body lotion on see Livvy looking perplexed he then decides to jump on the window as he is in mid jump he kind of stops and then scrambles up to the window. Anyway I couldn't work out what was the matter. Then it dawned on me- we had 5 live on and they were covering the LIVINGSTONE v Celtic match, the commentator was getting excited and kept shouting about Livvy and occasionally Livingstone and Liv thought someone was calling his name!!!!!! I left a VERY confused little boy cat on the bed!!!(turned the radio off as well!!!) Life here is NEVER dull, often fraught, always poor but dull............. Never!!! Oh yes a bit of good news as well. Do you renember when it was my Uncles funeral and we managed to loose the keys to the understair outside cubby hole?(along with my house keys) and I had to go and buy cat litter @£11 eeek when we normaly get it delevered for £6.99(and had 5 sacks of it in the cubby hole as well) well WE FOUND THE KEYS YESTERDAY!!!!!!!!!! Hope every one is happy safe and warm. Snowy Owl especial hugs to you.Am off now to watch my beautiful brave Irish boys start their march to 6 Nations glory!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Loads of love to everybody. Crazychick LOVE your photos and li'l me how cute are your lot(DH was ooohing over all of them) Have a great day everybody. Stay safe and warm. By hte way I owe a few PM's am having a few problems wtih my PM's NOT being rude honest. Have a nice day all.A XX Ps. Twink I'd be prout and delighted to have you as my mum, sister or whatever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Blind as you run...aware you were staring at the sun.

I've got an HH too!:o
:blushing: Do what you love :happyhear0 -
Afternoon everybody :hello:
Good grief - I like my sleep and personal space far to much to deal with a HH - which is one of the many and varied reasons why I am single
I have a couple of questions which need answering so any assistance would be fab.
Quick question no.1- where can I buy chervil? I need it for a recipe but could not find it on the market yesterday or in (large, well-stocked) Tesco today. I even tried Elsey & Bent at Borough Market on Fri, but no luck there either (however there are a couple of other places in BM which might be worth a look).
Quick question no.2 - last night I acquired a Moulinex Masterchef 370 food processor from a friend, which is about 7 or 8 years old. It needs a new cable (existing one had a nasty encouter with a hotplate) - it looks fairly straightforward to replace but where would be the best place to find a new one? B&Q or somewhere?
MSE Bargain Spot of the Day - the discount high-street book retailer British Bookshops & Sussex Stationers has currently got both the current edition of Money Diet and also Thrifty Ways, for £4.99 a copy. There are good prices on loads of big name cookbooks too. They had Delia's Complete Cookery Course for £14.99 down from £25. I nearly bought it but need to do some sums. There are so many things I need or want more urgently.
PP, that dessert looks gorgeous. PP Junior is obviously a true Old Styler in training
Plans for rest of day - cook carrot and coriander soup; tidy up; prep for mystery shopping job tomorrow. It's also just occurred to me that after a couple of months of coming straight home almost every night, I have a really busy (and potentially costly) week coming up - so I need to make sure I make the most of my evenings in.
Right, this is no good, I got back from Mr T's almost an hour ago and have not yet put the groceries away
- time to shift my backside methinks.

Hi all
PenPin - congrats to DD. Looks delicious. Also, good luck on your busy week ahead.
re HH - sometimes feels its something else I have to put on my to do list, before shiny sink and after meal plan:o
Rant warning:mad:
Feeling a bit in a muddle about being a mum at the mo. Everyone wants something from me (see HH above:D ). I decided to get up at 6:30 this morning to try to get an hour by myself to knit, watch tv, drink tea. Just do nothing really. I sneaked about, didn't even flush the loo. But at 6:40 DS arrived shouting that he was thirsty. So that was that and it's been a round of supermarket, washing, cleaning, cooking, sorting money, cleaning, washing......... DH has just taken kids to park, said at 15:40 (not that I was checking the time:rolleyes: ) that he'd be back about quarter past 4, then took 15 mins to get kids out of the house and sighed when I said that dinner wouldn't be ready. Pah, I've come on here as a protest! I WILL have some me time. Think it must be "time of the month" don't know why everythings on top of me.
Rant over:D
My name comes from one of the many family nicknames I have. This is dead simple as my first 2 initials are P and M which kind of make Peem.
Take care. I'd better go and start dinner. If we get done early then I can bath kids and they can make popcorn and watch a film before bed time."You can't get a cup of tea big enough or a book long enough to suit me." - C.S. Lewis0 -

anniestar good news ref finding the keys - will save you a bit of money for a while, now that you find your stash of cat litter.
I decided to scrub the kitchen wall behind the cooker. Then it left the rest of the walls looking dirty, so had to do the rest! Doors, doorframes, skirting boards, in&out the microwave, outside of the fridge. Im ruddy knacked now! Hoovered front room, swept & mopped kitchen & hall. OH just going to take the dyson apart now so that it can be cleaned and leave to dry. Before, he put it back to gether when it was damp and it smells! yuk!
Right going to put kettle on for a well earned brew

Question! I have a smallish chicken carcass here with legs not touched, just the breast meat taken. Which is the best way to make a chicken soup with this please and how much water etc do I add? It was a 1.3kg chicken and I have carrots and onions here
Should I pull the meat off the legs first?
Thanks

afternoon folks!
got up late today (another long night snoozing, 10 hours, must be the cold) and spent the first couple hours just messing around on the puter, reading various sites, including my blog.. did bacon and egg butties for the OH for breakfast, boiled eggs for me (trying to lose weight), currently working on dinner - a dutch dish, that translates into English as "The Sauerkraut dish". LOL. its one MIL taught me, i have no idea if its common throughout the netherlands, but its basically a cottage pie, with a difference: put slices of smoked sausage (you know the kind that comes in a U shape) on the bottom of the dish, top with some boiled sauerkraut, top with a minced beef (i add in lots of boiled green lentils and veg as well to bulk it out) and onion mix, all flavoured with an oxo cube and mixed herbs, then top that with mashed potato and cook in the oven. yum. Going to do a rice pudding as well, to make the best of the oven, and maybe something else - after cooking the minced beef with all the veg and lentils, i took half out to make something else. no idea what yet. maybe some kind of pie.
after that i'm planning to watch Time Team at 5.30pm, then dive in the bath briefly, then have dinner, then do some ironing and talk to my mom at 10pm via the puter (as i'm deaf, its the puter or something called typetalk, either way it involves a keyboard and the puter doesn't cost anything to use apart from electricity).
hope everyone has a good day!
